I wondered the same thing - how in the world would they explain the plane, the lack of passengers, and Dinah's death?...Brian probably would've lost his job for sure!
Exactly. They are talking ,a bit casually i think, about going on to different locations but they would have to stay put for awhile with interrogations. "OK, tell me again what happened to the passengers?"

SK's note on The Langoliers made me smile. It was like he knew, that at sometime in the future, he would write about
Glocks with safety's and big Mercedes with little Mercedes model numbers :)
I love when SK references other works in his stories! He mentions The Shop (Firestarter) in the first part of the story. He might've had the first thought of 11/22/63 (he references time travel and JFK). He also writes something about a dome shape over the land as the crew is traveling back (Under the Dome?).

I wondered that about 11/22/63 too. I missed the references to Firestarter and UTD though. I am real bad at finding connections :(

I read somewhere that he Under the dome quite early but that King didn't quite get to the end of. So he had probably started or at least had the idea when he wrote langolliers.
