1. Name one thing about which you feel really passionate.
Getting to be at home with my kids and grandkids. I know some think I am anti-feminist or anti-independant or anti-whatever by doing so, but it is important to me.

2. Is there something you said you’d never do, but you do now and love it?

Facebook. :a11: My husband set up my acct because he was tired of being a go-between for people. While I wouldn't say I love it, I have enjoyed it more than I ever expected I would. It has been great reconnecting with old friends.

3. What is the most interesting thing you have on display in your home?

My little library is my favorite room but it is kind of hidden, people do not see it unless I take them to it. I have a couple nice pieces of antique furniture, a secretary and a curio cabinet.

4. What is the most important thing to remember about getting older?

To not sweat the small stuff.

5. If there were an “After School Special” about your life, what would the title be? (For those who aren’t familiar: ABC Afterschool Special - Wikipedia)

No idea.

6. Pancakes or waffles? Why?

Waffles. I like both, but like the crunchy outside of a waffle better.

7. On a long car trip, you stop at a Welcome Center. What snack do you buy from the vending machine?

Dr. Pepper

8. If you could have any work of art in your home, which would it be? Include a picture, if you can.

I would love to have this in my library.

9. Recommend to me a great book which takes place in the 1800s.

Little Women, Lonesome Dove, Gone With the Wind

10. Describe your comforter/bedspread.

1. Name one thing about which you feel really passionate.
Never stop learning i.e. keep your mind open (also try to keep physically active too, even as you grow older).

2. Is there something you said you’d never do, but you do now and love it?

I guess it was getting married again (thought I would be one of those old ladies who died alone).

3. What is the most interesting thing you have on display in your home?

My collection of Stephen King books is something people comment on when they visit.

4. What is the most important thing to remember about getting older?
Oh - ooops - must be showing my age (I answered that in question # 1).

5. If there were an “After School Special” about your life, what would the title be? (For those who aren’t familiar: ABC Afterschool Special - Wikipedia)

6. Pancakes or waffles? Why?

I like both, as long as they are homemade. Pancakes are easier, but when I make waffles I beat the egg whites separately so they are fluffy.

7. On a long car trip, you stop at a Welcome Center. What snack do you buy from the vending machine?
In Canada maybe a Kit Kat or chips; in USA I choose the snacks I've never seen before.

8. If you could have any work of art in your home, which would it be? Include a picture, if you can.
Maybe this one - it reminds me of a good friend:

alex_colville_1996_on_a_river.jpg

It's called On a River

9. Recommend to me a great book which takes place in the 1800s.

Little House on the Prairie
Maybe Little Women as well, but I've only seen the movie so far.

10. Describe your comforter/bedspread.

It's plain white but a nice silky feeling material - Andy bought a new one this past Christmas as the other one was very old (it's a duvet filled with feathers).

I like the soft cotton sheets (flannel sheets) for winter

1. Name one thing about which you feel really passionate. My new wife...ok I know that's cheesy but I just got married, give me a break..lol

2. Is there something you said you’d never do, but you do now and love it? Watch a lot of drama TV series on Hulu. My wife's fault..lol

3. What is the most interesting thing you have on display in your home? My copy of 11.22.63 signed by Mr. King...actually, don't tell anyone, it's a decoy, the real one is locked up in my gun closet. I have another copy on the display stand out in the front room...lol

4. What is the most important thing to remember about getting older? Nothing on your body works as efficiently as it once did and you hurt for no reason.

5. If there were an “After School Special” about your life, what would the title be? (For those who aren’t familiar: ABC Afterschool Special - Wikipedia) I remember watching these but can't remember any of them that related to me. Was there one where the bullied high school kid gets revenge?

6. Pancakes or waffles? Why? Pancakes. I like waffles but I like the texture of pancakes better.

7. On a long car trip, you stop at a Welcome Center. What snack do you buy from the vending machine? Bugles or a Milky Way

8. If you could have any work of art in your home, which would it be? Include a picture, if you can. Something from Picasso, not sure what's it called but the one with the clocks melting on the trees. That was one of my favorites in college, for obvious reasons.

9. Recommend to me a great book which takes place in the 1800s. Lonesome Dove series.

10. Describe your comforter/bedspread. Uhhh, it's blue and white, otherwise..I got nothing..lol

Psst! Hammerman's After You!

A small bag of Sour Cream and Onion Sun Chips.
