Is Floating Dragon by Straub worth reading? It’s one I’m interested in reading sometime soon.
Yes, I liked it. If you haven't read Straub before, I would say try Ghost Story. (It is equally challenging, probably.) It's hard to describe, but he has a uniquely layered method to his writing. His narratives are somehow spiral, if that makes sense. The reader isn't precisely disoriented but crucial events in his books are distributed to the reader like puzzle pieces; one could say this describes most mysteries, but it's different. He's a highly sophisticated writer. Have you read any of his other books?

I own Shadowland, Hellfire Club, and the Koko series, but have not read any yet. My dad has told me the latter of those is really worth reading but I was interested in Dragon for its similar themes with IT.

I think you can handle it. My only advice is to give it at least a hundred pages before making up your mind. Things clicked right around that point. You'll see. Don't want to spoil it for you.

I don't know, where to post this but i have read an Interview of Stephen Hawkings Daughter.(Lucy Hawking)

She was interviewed by a German News Magazinehttps://www.stern.de/kultur/buecher/stephen-hawking--so-erinnert-sich-tochter-lucy-an-ihren-vater-8404734.htm) i don't know if there is an Original Version of this Interview.

I always liked his Humor and she did also (of course)

She describes a Speech in the USSR, when she was 13 or 14, it was the Time of the Cold War.
Her Father always liked Metaphors and the simultaneous Translator couldn't handle this.

Then Stephen said "Imagine the Universe as a big plumbing Work" and she ripped her Headphones of, and left the Room..that was hilarious !!

Has anyone read Ken Follet's Pillars of the Earth and the sequel? Im asking if they're any good to read?

I have not read it - but a good friend of mine, whose book opinion I rely upon frequently, has read those and loved them. The size of the novels intimidates me, but that's just because I don't have much down time - I blew through It and The Stand when I was much younger with no trouble at all. Give them a try.

Working through Love in the Time of Cholera for my final dissertation chapter. García Márquez is a gifted prose writer, and I'm enjoying the story so far (although, reading for research is not as fun as reading for pleasure). Also, Elevation comes out today! I'm in Bangor/Orono on a research trip, so I'm excited to explore the local book shops and pick up the novella! Has anyone started reading (or finished) yet?
