Want to borrow some of my coons/ the coyote? Guess they would cause more damage. How about a recording of a dog?
I see coyotes in the farmer's field across the road. Lots of road kill coons on the road. The neighbor has a cat he let's roam free and the other neighbor has an evil nasty husky he keeps fenced in. I think these are bionic chipmunks. :)

Happy Birthday to Andy--- more healing vibes too.
Well - just found out that nobody is coming to the house today.

They have a file set up for him but no nurses available. Looks like they will have someone come out tomorrow instead to look at his dressing.

Wow - wish GNTLGNT was here! He would know what to do

Right now Andy is having a good sleep which he needs, so no need to wake him up - rest is the best thing for him right now

Happy Belated Birthday to Andy!! (((Neesy))) Good luck with Home Care.

Awww - thanks!

Josh bought him a funny card; he was just happy to leave the hospital - men are like that it seems (most men, anyway) - they don't like to be sick

i received a call from my congresswoman’s office yesterday in response to a letter I wrote. She sits on the U.S. House Committee on Education and Labor. We had a lovely discussion, believe it or not. Afterward, I told my youngest daughter they want her to intern with the Congresswoman next year.
Good deal!

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

Just got an update... The other cat was found hiding under a bed and they got it out safe. It will take months to repair the home but is livable although smoky smelling. When it rains it pours… Also found out their daughter and her family got into a car accident on their way back home to Philadelphia.

SIL likes to come up in the summer for the pool and some wine. I have to fix one part of the fence this weekend but when she comes up there will be a nice big fenced in area for the dogs to run.

Yesterday the wife was working in one of her flower gardens when she saw a chipmunk fall into the pool. She couldn’t get it out and called the older daughter who retrieved it from the pool all wet and soggy but full of life. Maybe the dang thing should have stuck to eating all my bird seed and left the glass of beer alone. :)
...good thoughts for all old friend.....

Happy Birthday to Neesy 's Andy!

Today is my niece, Alivia Morgan's ninth birthday. My mom and I took her to B&N for her free cupcake. Bought her a (children's) book of strange facts and a stuffed animal. She's kinda like me at her age - I couldn't get enough of Guinness World Records and Ripley's Believe It or Not books. :love_heart:
....me either!.....

Today when I typed in "Stephen King" on Firefox this story came up:

On This Day: Stephen King hit by car, severely injured

Twenty years ago this happened. Thank God he was well taken care of and not left with any permanent damage. You're a fighter Mr. King! Thanks for all the great stories over the many years we've been reading your work!

Yesterday evening at the home improvement center an associate came to me and asked if I could go outside and talk to a customer about grapes, saying he was frantic as nobody in outside garden was able to help him. I told her I don’t know a lot about grapes but I have raised them in the past, so I’ll try. So I go out and tell him I don’t know a whole lot about grapes but I’ll do what I can. He whips out a water bottle and shows me a bug trapped inside and said his grapes are infested with them. He’s been growing grapes for 10 years and makes wine. I looked at the bug and told him even though I don’t know a lot about grapes I do know quite a bit about that bug and he’s got a big problem. The bug was the first larval stage of the Spotted Lanternfly. And I told him if he didn’t do something quick his grapes would be rendered inedible. I taught him about the Spotted Lanternfly and told him to use Sevin as it safe to use on fruit and vegetables and has an effective rate of killing the bug of 98% the first week and 96% for two weeks. I told him to spray the grape vines once a week for the remainder of the season. I showed him on the computer the three stages of the bug and what to look for. I also said he should order some sticky banding tree tape online, as we didn’t have them, and put them on the base of the grapes. He thanked me and left much happier than when he came in. As he was leaving I said 'DEATH TO THE SPOTTED LANTERNFLY!!!!' He laughed.

He was about the tenth customer who came in looking for help with the bug in the last week. It is devastating eastern PA’s hardwood trees, peach trees, apple trees, and grape and hops crops. To hell with the zombie apocalypse... Destruction of the beer and wine industry IS the true end of the world. :)
