Is this where you voluteer because you said you work/volunteer at a charity place but I can't remember if you said if it was there or in Portland or some other place in Maine. You said you had a problem with your supervisor, I hope it's all good now.

I'm muttering curses under my breath. I'm watching today's Good Morning America and the blond woman mentioned a book by Stephen king she's reading but I can't make out the title. I rewound it three times and put on CC and all I can hear is "...twelve hundred pages to go..." I think that's what she said. %88!<#% grumble grumble grumble

Could it be IT

Worked.

Did a recording session for my workshop. Sweated my SwiftDoggy butt off in there. It was tres soupy in the recording room

Got my employment situation straightened out. My dumba** coworkers stupid, unprofessional actions opened up an opportunity for me! SwiftDogs are very professional and diligent when they have to be!

Best of luck with all that, Neesy !
Stupid ars*holes

Obviously Manitoba Public Insurance did not buy my story (yet I was telling the truth!):m_innocent:

It is frustrating- anyway I went to Happy Camper RV and no I'm not making that name up

Bought some supplies - too bad Andy is not here to help with these things

On a more positive note - our new fence is gorgeous :m_thumbsup:

The guy at Happy Camper estimated the value of the tent trailer at around $5000 so maybe we can trade up next summer;

we would prefer something where you don't have to crank it up and it's just ready to go as soon as you park it

Thanks for the good wishes anyway Holly!

I had never even seen a keurig coffee maker till I started dating her. Yesterday she had a bit of an insane "don't talk to me" expression on her face after she remembered it was broken....figured I'd surprise her and make sure she got her coffee fix.....I know who the boss is...;)
If your girlfriend is attached to her Kuerig the way I love my Tassimo, I can see where you'd be a hero for replacing it!

I've got vertigo. I think it's because I have eaten too much watermelon - like every meal, every day for a couple of weeks. I feel like my head is bobbing on water. I just took a meclizine. Hoping I can stay awake and catch up here for a bit. Hey - I'm on vacation next week. If you count weekends, it's 9 days of no work. We're not going anywhere, just being lazy.
Ah - a "staycation" - those are great!

It was a very mild overdose. I started itching, after my bath, but it was not after I got a huge neck rash. I relazed what it might be. I was putting in like 3 cups in as I have like 2 big containers of it. Opps
I've actually put that much in before when I got some on sale but we have a very deep tub which is around 18 inches deep so it holds a lot of water; I also did not see any reason to take any supplements by mouth (why do people take extra magnesium anyway? - I had never heard of it being an essential element (???)

Fingers crossed.

Hi Spidey (and also Moderator )

Got my hopes up I guess, but because it happened a while back and I did not take any photos and had no actual proof that kids had forced up the vent, they said they could not cover it under vandalism.

I also did not report it to the police until after the fact (actually quite a long time after the fact)

- it was only when the girl doing the privacy weave on our fence gave me the idea I could possibly get it covered under our public insurance plan that I phoned and set up an appointment.

I am not from here - I'm originally from Ontario, so I guess I am not used to the different sort of insurance system they have here.

They are notorious for giving people a hassle when it comes to putting in claims - God forbid I should be in a car accident and end up with big-time injuries!

Glad it is just a travel trailer used for recreational purposes (well - don't I sound like such a "Pollyanna"!) :biggrin2::blush::m_bigwink:

We have a politician from Manitoba who was in a very bad accident and had a heck of a time getting them to help him. He is doing well now, however and was the first quadriplegic to serve in the House of Commons - the following is from Wikipedia:

I'll put it in a spoiler as it is rather lengthy
Fletcher was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where his Canadian father was working as an engineer. He was raised in Manitoba, and attended Shaftesbury High School in Winnipeg. Fletcher received a degree in Geological Engineering from the University of Manitoba in 1995.[3]

He became a complete quadriplegic on January 11, 1996, after hitting a moose with his vehicle while travelling to a geological engineering job in northern Manitoba.[4] The accident left him completely paralyzed below the neck, and he now requires 24-hour-a-day attendant care. He was unable to speak for several months, and only regained this ability after a long process of recovery.[3]

In the immediate aftermath of his accident, Fletcher was told that he would have to spend the rest of his life in an institution. Years later, he joked: "I don't think the doctors ever thought the institution would be Parliament."[5] When asked about his disability during his first campaign for public office, he quipped: "I would rather be paralyzed from the neck down than from the neck up."[6]

Before his accident, Fletcher was a wilderness canoe enthusiast. He served as president of the Manitoba Recreational Canoeing Association, was a two-time former Manitoba Kayak Champion, and competed in national events.[7] He was able to resume his life as an outdoorsman in the mid-2000s through inventions such as the TrailRider, a device which allows quadriplegics to travel over rough terrain.[8] In late 2004, he was able to stand again with the assistance of an hydraulic wheelchair.[9] He recently competed in water races, and has won awards using "sip and puff" steering technology.[10] In 2006, he visited the Burgess Shale in the Rocky Mountains with the help of a TrailRider and other hikers.[11]

Fletcher has said that the accident changed his political views. He acknowledges that he "didn't give the less-fortunate any consideration" before 1996, but now describes himself as a "compassionate conservative".[12]

It's been an odd week at work......
On Tuesday, one of my clients tells me that since I only trimmed the ends of her hair, she was only paying me X amount of money and not tipping.....I'm like, um, no....that's not how it works. You don't have to tip, but I don't charge by how much hair I cut off.
Haircut prices are the same across the board, and you don't get to tell me how much you'll pay.....I've already established my pricing list.
On Wednesday, a client of my co-worker calls in and says that there is a small spot in the back of her hair underneath where her gray is showing through and it bothers her because when the wind blows, her hair parts, and she can see it......I'm excited to see her today, because I've never met anyone who actually has eyes in the back of their head.....
Yesterday, a client of another co-worker was apparently eavesdropping on my conversation with my client, and asked me if I was born in this area and grew up here. When I replied that I had, she asked me "is that your accent? and is it an authentic North carolina accent?"
I didn't know how to respond to that......
Can't wait to see what today brings.......

My girlfriend's Kureig coffee machine crapped out the day before yesterday. I surprised her with a new one today. The radiant smile and huge hug and kiss made it a well spent $75.00:)
the-shining-what-do-you-mean-the-keurig-is-broken.jpg

I had a spare Tassimo that was still in the box (this was a couple of years ago - I'd gotten it on sale).

For some bizarre reason Andy decided to clean up and threw the entire thing in the recycle bin - a sort of wheelie bin we put out in our back lane on garbage day.

I just hope that someone rescued it before it got smashed up - the dang thing cost me about 75 bucks! 68 bucks

(He says he thought it was an old one that I had put back in the original box) :icon_eek::dunno:

Not sure if it the after effects of July's full moon, or the up coming events of the Lunar Eclipse and Solar Eclipse but the planet seems off balance.:smile2:

Today is a day of rest for me - glad I don't have to go hooking up a trailer or any other such nonsense.

Will stay close to home and maybe iron some pants or make some cookies.

Plan to water the plants on the deck, do a bit of laundry and just generally relax around the house.
Enjoy your day off, Neesy!
.....I'd vote for the cookies and skip the ironing, but that's just me :D

Nessy, I have a stress disorder, and I find I fell it most in my neck, so much so that I can't move it some times, so magnesium helps with muscles not tensing up. That is why I take it, I am no longer taking it daily, just once every few days.

That suck s about your camper trailer.
