I had two Dagwood Dogs for breakfast with a coffee.

Ah - I see - had to look that one up - I think they're called corn dogs in the USA

Had lots of plans for my one day off on Sunday because the weatherman promised the rain would stop in the morning and it was going to be 61 degrees. Planned on fixing the support beam for the front entrance, patching sunken areas in the driveway with asphalt, moving the bird feeders for winter ease and putting out the Christmas decorations. The weatherman lied. It never got above 51 degrees and was drizzling all day. Got the support and the bird feeders done in short order, except the gang of five squirrels I’m plagued with had managed to tear down one cage feeder and drag it off to their wooded stronghold. I now consider it a declaration of war. And I spent much of the day with a broom and a blower trying to dry each driveway spot so the asphalt would adhere. I didn’t have time to put out the Christmas decorations, so I’m in the doghouse until next weekend. I had bought my wife some of those Christmas orchestra lights and a music hub to add to her karaoke room that she put up Sunday... she loves them. You’d think this would have bought me some sympathy for not getting the outside decorations up… well... NO FREAKIN’ WAY!

LOL. And the wife kept calling me inside to help her some of the higher decorations. I guess she figured time stopped every time I had to run in to help her. I didn't know Christmas decorations should have trumped the roof falling down and the car bottoming out where the driveway meets the street.

Priorities differ with a male and female viewpoint ( practicality versus "tis the season to decorate ).

sent to you with :biglove:
Thank you. The wife’s Christmas decorating really is quite outstanding. Every room, every nook and cranny. I told her I can now lay on the sofa, watching TV in the rec room, and get a winter sun tan. Luckily she hates the cold so she won't do the outside decorations. I’m just not into it. Every year she says she’s going to do less next year, but every year it is the opposite. Next year she says we have to find someplace to put the HO train set, the trolley train set and the 1960’s Plasticville buildings she just got from her father. I guess I’ll have to build on an extension to the house. :facepalm_smiley:
