In your mirror.
Do you have kids? If so, your welcome. ::P

Ha! Yeppers, it's my son. He misplaces his things and Momma's things are always where they supposed to be so he *borrows* them and...forgets to put them back. Bummer.

As God as my witness, I once duct taped a message pad to the table (where our phone is) and taped an ink pen with a longish piece of yarn to the table as well so we (SON) could write down messages. Lo and behold..within a few days both the message pad and ink pen were missing. (Duct tape was till there. *sigh*)

If Rhodes, our canine companion, had thumbs I'm sure said son would blame him. :)

Peace.

Somewhere over the Rainbow
I am slooooooowly training my kids that there are a few items in this house that will ABSOLUTELY be where they should be, each and every time they are looked for. They are:

  1. scissors
  2. nail clippers
  3. sellotape
  4. YOUR FRIGGING SHOES! (they all have a basket near to their bed for these)
  5. the wooden thingee (yes we call it that because I forget things a lot--one of our knives is called 'the cutty thingee'.)
  6. my car keys (this should have been nearer to the top)
  7. the remote
There are probably many more, but... I'm sleepy today and can't be bothered thinking harder. :wink2:

The remote only goes missing when I want to use it. If the boys want to watch cartoons or sports, it can be found easy. Yes, the shoes. Please put them on the steps by the door, I say. The next morning, Boys: "Mom I can't find my shoes" Me: "Are they on the steps." Boys: "I don't know where I put them." Of course. I look and they are in the living room underneath the couch. I should just make that the place they put them because I will always find them there.

I have lost more pens, pencils, and guitar picks than I have ever owned, it seems like.

And then I will lose things that I technically didn't even lose. I will spend minutes at a time searching my pockets for my cell phone while I am talking on my cell phone! Ever tell someone over the phone that you can't find your phone? Talk about your duh moments. I swear, some days I feel I shouldn't be allowed outside without a responsible adult holding my hand. :m_surrender:

In the gas station where I work are scissors always lost. I usually walk through the whole place and search for them.
When I finally find them, they are lost again after 30 min when a co worker have borrow them and forgot to put
scissors back where they belong.

I lost everything. My glasses, my car keys, my home keys, sometimes my wallet and my cellphone. I have a bad habit of leaving my stuff on
weird places and the next day I search for them many hours before I found them.

...there is a very simple answer to this dilemma of where things vanish to and who is responsible...I provide photographic evidence below...

There is a dimension just out of sight, where there's this little gopher looking thing that has an attraction to objects here in our dimension. It will gom onto a thing and kinda drag your stuff in there when you aren't looking. Sometimes it puts it back somewhere that you'll eventually find it again, sometimes no, not so much, he keeps it. He only has one leg, he has a lot of my socks.

Wanna know something odd? My wife walked into the room and said that she can't find her bra. Funny any day, but what was odd was that she said that right before I saw this thread! Anyway, the bra is still M.I.A. so she had to go with another one.

:D
