All hardcover first edition, in PERFECT shape;
The Eyes of The Dragon
Dreamcatcher
Skeleton Crew
Nightmares & Dreamscapes
The Dark Half

I already had all of these, but at a little over a dollar a piece, I couldn't pass these up.
My friend snaked me the day before, he found a first edition of It at Goodwill for $2! I was so jealous. I may have to order that one online, but it will be closer to $30, and the condition is really a toss up. I don't want the book without the dust jacket.

If it were me, I'd wait....don't spend that much for a book w/o the jacket. It'll come across your path eventually. ;)
Have patience, friend. There are books that I have waited for years to find at a thrift store (1st printing hardback Bachman Books took 20 years to fall into my hands).

I don't have the kind of money for signed King books yet-but I seem to be buying the SK books that I can like a crazed fiend-I've turned into a SK book whore-der!!!!
You're definitely not alone.

My latest find is an ARC of Tabitha King's Survivor--new condition, except one bent page. Funnily enough, I ordered it in hardback from Amazon just last week!

I love the mention of our lovely Moderator in the "credits" :)

And I've never seen a HB Bachman Books other than in a picture :) Thrifting takes patience, but it's so challenging!

Our "2nd Christmas" (the library book sale) is in 2 weeks--no lie: three of 4 kids already have made lists & have a game plan for who will hit which area first (and even The Man has slipped me a 'wish list'--lol). Probably silly, but this is an EVENT for us every year :D

When you order from cemetary dance. They take a very long time. I have waited like a year before.
Okay thanks! (they are sending emails all the time to my account so they haven't forgotten about me, obviously).

I should send them one and ask when the book is going to be shipped out.

A YEAR??!! Holy moly!
That's a short time- if you happened to be one of the people that ordered Legacies from them, you had to wait 13 YEARS for it(or at least that's when the proof/ARC came out, I know there was a l-o-n-g delay with it finally getting shipped out)!! I would love to know the story about that.....

I ordered a limited edition Carrie that cost over 80 dollars and I was just wondering if and when I am ever going to get it! (I paid for it a long time ago with my credit card and it is from Cemetery Dance) :grinning::m_whatwhat:
I don't know exactly when Carrie is going to be released. I do know that Cem Dance gives us a courtesy by allowing folks that have purchased from them in the past to pre-order certain items before they let the 'general' public in on it. They know that any King title is likely to sell out fast, so I appreciate them letting us 'fans' have first crack at them. Usually, when they do pre-orders, the book is only in the planning stages, meaning that it hasn't even been type-set, etc. All of the things that go into making a book takes alot of time, especially the artwork. They don't print the books or make the slipcases/traycases either, That's all done out of their 'house', meaning it's sent out for someone else to do. They're a small operation, with only about 6 or 8 employees, I think. If you're like me and you want matching numbers to go along with your previous purchases of books from them, that takes even more time getting them shipped out, too. Be patient. I think you'll really, really love what they've got coming soon...

I've gone to a couple of 'Library' sales and there was so much chaos happening at each one that I couldn't deal with it. People grabbing things from right in front of me, around me, etc. Rudeness abounds and I didn't like it. Prices were great and there were a few 'treasures', but it ain't worth the stress for me.
