So we have a combination of Misery and The Lawnmower Man happening here?!be careful shes abit mean. Grab the books and run. I will pull up on my lawnmower and we can get the heck out of there.
I'll get on a riding lawnmower with you any time, dollface!! I hope we score some SK books along the way...This could be our version of Thelma & Louise-but with a happier ending!Something like that.
Neat find!Stopped at a used book store while on vacation in Maine. Found a copy of Running Man written in French. The single course of French I took in high school is not enough to actually read it, but I just couldn't pass it up!
I never even saw them in a regular bookstore when they were first released. All I ever saw was the trade paperbacks.Regarding the first printing of The Bachman Books hardcover, there were only 15,000 copies printed, so it's REALLY scarce. It has a number line on the copyright page that starts with a "1". If you find one in a thrift shop, you are VERY lucky!

Great haul, KRF!!OK, just got back from my three day trip to Seattle and here's what I was able to find in between family time:
original 1st printing paperback of James Herbert's The Fog which I read years ago when I was 15 in 1975.
3rd paperback printing of The Running Man with Ahnold on the cover at Goodwill for .99.
an 11th printing paperback of Booked To Die by John Dunning that's SIGNED at Goodwill for .99.
Beautiful unread hardback 1st of The Midnight Club by James Patterson at Goodwill for $2.99.
Unread trade paperback of Centipede Press' Studies In The Horror Film 'Brian de Palma's Carrie' by Joseph Ainsberg at Half Price Books for $6.99.
Unread 1st hardback of Inferno by Dan Brown at HPB on clearance for $2.00.
Nice hardback 1st of Wolves Of The Calla by King at HPB on clearance for $3.00.
and finally an absolutely beautiful Viking hardback 1st printing of The Moon Is Down by John Steinbeck at HPB for only $20.00!! It's in amazing condition for a book that was printed way back in 1942! The dustjacket is almost flawless, with only one or two tiny pieces missing and the spine isn't even sun-faded! Pages are all intact with a tight spine. Stunning book! I looked on-line and this copy should command around $200, if I decide to sell it.
