I am still trying to puzzle out how they froze just certain individuals. Basically, they did not get people a choice about who they selected.

What is the abbies are people who somehow mutated while frozen?
You're all caught up once you watch #6.I still have one episode to go (of the six on Hulu--are there more?) I suspect that the whole 'Truth' is a big fat lie/mind game (don't tell me if I'm wrong! I'll be back tomorrow when I can read all the spoilers--lol).
I'm confused and I have questions
Is there a difference between the chosen people and the people who were snatched (like Burke's wife and son)? Were they snatched from the 21st century? Or were they unfrozen and only think they were snatched? Was the first sheriff somehow able to travel between the 21st century and the 41st century?
see my post 123 above.Well there appears to be people who knew what the project was and chose to be a part of it and go into cryo-stasis voluntarily. The people "abducted" it hasn't exactly explained why they were chosen, but it's eluded to their character, etc. I had said that the term Wayward seemed to invoked some idea of the common thread of the people, but it also seems perhaps they are people who had some interactions previously. Perhaps to help in transition with a familiar face? Not sure exactly.
Yes, everyone was apparently snatched from the 21st century. The scenes from back then were flashbacks, not parallel occurrences. For instance, when Sheriff Pope messed with the Burkes' car when they went to look for Ethan, it was the 21st century. That happened before Pope put himself in cryo-stasis. Obviously, there was much work to be done in the 21st century to set all this up.
We also know now why they don't just tell everyone what is going on. They tried that already and everyone went batshit crazy, killed each other and burned the whole city to the ground.

Yes, how did they select people and how did they decide who would get to bring family? because as the doctor said, people left everything to come voluntarily, or snatched. AND, I understand why he feels he can't tell this group B about what's going on because of what happened with group A. But if they don't tell soon, that group is going to blow a hole in that wall and they are all dead.

yeah.I'm puzzled as to why they didn't take Beverly's child when they took Beverly. Surely someone should have quessed she'd try to escape in order to find her child.
