FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE...once more. Well, had it on, seen it bunches of times. Love that SCORE! I wish Enio Morricone would just follow me around and score my everyday life. Wouldn't that be cool? NOBODY would mess with ya.

Did THE SANDPIPER over at my sister's house yudder day. Kind of boring, but looked GREAT. All those wide-screen shots of Big Sir, on a damn near wall-sized screen. Liz Taylor's (giant)cleavage in damn near every shot. Dick Burton rather subdued. Young(ish) Chuck Bronson as a mid-sixties hipster, hanging with a Beat crowd--odd.

I really like this one, especially Tom Wilkinson's contribution.
Yeah, me too. Thank God the director allowed for long periods of silence and allowed for the moments when a character was grieving and/or thinking. (Sissy Spacek's character even addresses this, in a way, while talking to her priest.) This isn't done often in film...or isn't done well, I should say. The ending approaches greatness but (again) in a quiet way.

Yeah, I love the ending. The implication that the wife knew what had happened.

Everest.
Not really the type of movie I'm usually interested in, but hubby wanted to watch it for the 3D aspect.
This is going to sound very cold, but I don't feel sorry for people who spend more than some people make in a year to go do something they KNOW is deadly and then suffer extreme injury or death. Yes, it's their money/their life, but when other folks have to put their lives on the line to rescue these people, that pisses me off.

I had high hopes for this since I like the actors in it but the high hopes didn't last long after I started watching this. This is one of those movies that when I got to the end, I thought, "what the hell did I just watch?" The movie was just so confusing with it's flashbacks that I had trouble even figuring out who the older versions of the young characters were. Then at the very end, it started to make a little sense but instead of "ah-ha", it was "so what."

I didn't mean to, but I watched The Nun's Story yesterday. It was one of those things where one doesn't have the willingness to look for something else to watch. I left the TV on and picked up the book I've been reading. I wound up putting the book down and watching the movie and wanting it to keep going after it ended.
Audrey Hepburn, what a treasure she is. She may be gone into the clearing but her art has survived her.

Finally watched "Interstellar" last night. I didn't realize it was made by Chris Nolan the same guy who did "Inception". I was just as confused as I was the first time I watched Inception. Interstellar was a great movie but the ending confused me quite a bit. Think I've got it now, but I'm going to watch it again tonight I think. The second time I watched Inception I liked it a lot better since I picked up quite a bit more information.

I saw this in the movie theater when it first came out. It's available to stream on Netflix - think I'll watch it again.

I feel the same way.
