That's so lovely. Yes, this is turkey bacon as it should be. I wrap my meatloaf lovingly in bacon. It's divine.

Put a bit of water in? Every rasher of bacon I've ever cooked looks like it's had a pint of water pumped into it to boost its weight ;)
Do you mean what you guys call "streaky bacon"? Over here in Canada we must have different rules about what is allowed in the processing.

Anyway I have "gone off" bacon and all other pork products. More of a health concern that anything - I don't actually miss it, believe it or not!

You don't eat bacon, and you don't drink coffee? Life can't be worth living ;)

I think I am becoming a freak of nature now that I am getting older!

Although I did go to Starbucks today and cashed in my free birthday drink. I got an extra shot of decaf espresso - the girl says it will fool my body into thinking I am actually getting real coffee.

I still allow myself beer, wine, or whatever else is being offered in terms of alcoholic drinks.

I'm not condemning others who eat bacon or drink coffee - in fact apparently coffee is an antioxidant - it is just an experiment I am trying for now to see how it feels.

Also trying to drink lots and lots more water and taking an acidophilus tablet (as well as eating the Greek yogurt) - I'll let you know how long I can hold up.

De-caff gives me headache, so I have to make my customers aren't giving me it. I've always drunk lots of water. I once tried to give up coffee, did it a bit too quick though, and got the worst headache I'd ever had.

I worked with this Jewish guy, and we went out for lunch at work, and he ordered an omelette, and it didn't say there was ham in it, and I think he asked the waitress, anyway, he found out that there was ham in it, and he got this bad look on his face and started that sought of semi-spew spasm, and told me he had to go to the men's.

That is pretty serious - when it is against his faith/beliefs to eat pork and someone fools him into it, it is no wonder that he wanted to vomit.

It would be the same for a Muslim - devout Muslims will not get tattoos or eat pork.
