I am late for this but us Brits go all floppy when it comes to bacon.

I have been put off crispy bacon after seeing a rather large lady sat on two chairs at the Smithsonian museum cafe in D.C eating an entire plate of bacon without, it appeared, chewing. Some things cannot be unseen.

I love floppy bacon, although, I've undercooked them big time before by just microwaving them for 2 minutes. I really don't like crispy bacon because they are too crunchy. I cook my bacon in the frying pan with oil. They are so good.

Oh honey, no! I have to warn you - it tastes like Spam - do you have Spam in Canada? It's not what you want in a bacon at all. I've eaten it when I tried that diet - I can't remember the name - I lost 10 pounds in about 2 weeks. It was lovely for the occasion but I can't live like that. Anyhow - just say "no" to pretend bacon. Have yourself a real bacon BLT.

But see, I think if you crisp it up then the fat cooks out of it more. If you eat it floppy, all the fat is still on there. It's just a theory of mine though. The thing is, I love gravy too, but not made with bacon grease. I prefer gravy with sausage grease. So you see my conundrum. If I had life my way, I'd have to make bacon to eat, and cook sausage just to have the fat to make gravy. I like gravy on toast, not on biscuits. Food porn! If I didn't exercise I'd need 2 chairs. If I didn't eat bacon, I might be a tiny thing. It's a precarious balance.
