I am leaving work in about 15 minutes. Going to spend the afternoon (and again tomorrow morning) volunteering at the Virginia Special Olympics track & field games, staging the athletes. Our company has done this for years and I am so proud to be a part of it. The athletes are wonderful and you get such a personal reward from it. I am looking forward to a lot of high fives and much needed fun!

Enjoy your weekend, everyone!

Holy canoli! Is cabrito goat? Here I was in lala land on what exactly that was. I've probably been slipped some goat. I bet I have.
Someone's slippin' you the goat, baby! You've been goated unawares. I feel ya.

Slipping' you the goat??!! That has to be something dirty!!

 Y'all are nasty. :biggrin2: My poor virgin ears. (Nope. That's not right. Had a penis in my ear last year.)

Hey Dana Jean . Yes ma'am, cabrito is baby/kid goat. It's a delicacy and very expensive.

A friend of mine wanted an entire cabrito all for himself but like I said, it's expensive. He went off to the flea market (Yes, I live in the boonies where you can buy goats (chicken, roosters, pigs) and bought a baby goat. He was going to roast it on Saturday-good eats. His four boys (7-11 years old. His poor wife-Gilda, a Catholic.) put a child's football helmet on the goat named it and made him a pet. No cabrito for him.

Today I have been sleeping. Passing out may be a more accurate term.

I've been feeling bad all week, stuffed up, sore throat. Then today, everything I did just exhausted me. And I felt like I was breathing through a wet cloth. I was debating heading to a doctor....but fell asleep while deciding. First thing I was aware of when I woke up....I was breathing through my nose and had no urge to cough. Then I fell asleep again.

Hubby cooked dinner and set the table...using mostly disposable plates. I was starving and wolfed down dinner. Then fell asleep again.

Now, I'm trying to watch baseball before I go to bed.

I'm back to feeling a bit stuffed up, and throat is a bit sore, but better than yesterday, so maybe I'm finally getting better.

Ran my youngest to work, 40 minutes away. Then put in 6 hours at the part time job. Then go look at used cars for daughter #3. Then pick the youngest back from work. Then jump in the tractor and hopefully get half the grass cut. Same thing tomorrow.
You are a good dad. Hope they all remember that on Father's Day!
