I am just a novice. However, I think curling is one of those events that would be fun to do, but watching it is like watching paint dry. Poor Bob Costas definitely needs a medical professional to look at those eyes.
I curled way back in the last century. It his much harder than it looks and it is definitely a workout, unless you're the skip, then you can have a beer belly.

I like watching curling. There is something fascinating about it but I can't really think of what it is. Speed skating was great to watch last night. The Russian guy, Victor Ang? I think is his name, that dude is good.

I don't know enough about the marking to judge exact marks. But in the team skate, I did feel the American team deserved higher marks then the Canadian team.

But, when it comes to the top few skaters, one having a bad day and the other having a good day can make the difference of who stands where when the medals are being given out.
Absolutely. All it takes is one edge out of place, or one twizzle off by a split second to make the difference. But if both pairs skate without any deductions, I think the Americans have the edge.
