10 - Liar, Liar, Vampire! (2015) – is one is my annual kid-friendly scary movie. Watched with my daughter, it’s a made for Nickelodeon TV movie, starring actors from their current hit shows. It was actually pretty good, considering the concept. New, nerdy boy with a killer foreign accent moves into the neighborhood and wants to finally be found cool. On day one at school, a couple of mishaps (including losing his shirt and getting covered in glitter) have the super cool blogging popular girl sure he’s a vampire. Good for ages 9 and up.

11 - Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever (2009) - Sequel to one I watched last year. This picks up right where the first one left off, with the last member contaminating the creek that supplies water to a local high school. Just in time for Prom! A real gore fest!

12 - Se7en (1995) – The seven deadly sins are being displayed (and punished) by a serial killer. Still terrifying and distrubing!

16. The Revenant (2009)
The corpse of a soldier returns to life with an insatiable thirst for blood, complicating the life of his best friend, who didn't have much of a life to begin with. This is the second time I've seen The Revenant and it was just as funny the second time around. The violence and gore is over the top, the script is hilarious, and there's even a bit of social commentary--nothing heavy, although you will believe in the strong friendship between the two leads, which holds the whole movie together. I'm always surprised there hasn't been more of a following for this fun little movie, which is a shame because it might get lost in the shuffle when the new Leonardo DiCaprio movie "The Revenant" (totally unrelated) is released in December.

4 out of 5 stars.

28.) The Blob -- (1988) The remake that does not have Steve McQueen but it does a decent job anyway. It is very 80-ties but i can live with that. Particularly liked Shawnee Smith in the female lead. Where have i seen her before??? I knowit is somewhere.

I liked her in Summer School (one of my guilty pleasure comedies), but she was also on a couple of TV shows, the Saw movies, and she was the girl who shoots at Nick and Tom in The Stand TV movie, amongst other things.

18. Body Bags -- another anthology. Lots of stars. It wasn't bad. 2.5 out of 5
19. Annabelle -- creepy doll, but I had a hard time staying interested. 1.5 out of 5
20. Tales from the Crypt -- Peter Cushing and Joan Collins one. One of my favorites. 4.5 out of 5
DJ, is Body Bags a modern anthology or an old one? I've not heard of it.

21. The Blotch (Known to most people as The Blob) -- this was the Steve McQueen one and you do realize his girl is Helen Crump! Oooooo, Andy is gonna be soooo pi*****ed. I have never seen The Blob, just bits and pieces, iconic scenes like at the diner. McQueen's acting was absolutely horrible. Horrible. Leave it to Beaver kids, aw shucks sheriff, we was just playin' kind of crap. I give it a 1.5 out of 5.
