I looked through Storm of the century (got it on DVD a few days ago) and it was really good. I felt like a break in reading King so i watched this instead. (I also watched some episodes of Alias but don't tell anyone, OK?). When i started this project i decided to throw in some watching King adaptions too. Have The Stand and IT (the tv-series) waiting in the wings. Actually never saw them before. Was fully content with the books.

I watched A Good Marriage yesterday. I thought it was pretty good.

I Just took advantage of the 99 cent iTunes rental, good deal. I thought it was a good movie adaptation of the story; you never know if Stephen King movie adaptations are going to be good or bad. I watched Bag of Bones, I thought the movie adaptation in terms of representing the story was good, but the actors they chose didn't impress me, they weren't convincing for how I expected the characters to be.

Started the Library Policemen. It is better than Secret Window so far. I never really liked that one. The flow of the story is better but it is through... I have only read about 5 chapters so far.

Wow Kurben, at the rate your going , you will read more Stephen King by the end of this year, then I read last year.

Library policeman, that is a very intense and disturbing story.

Wow! You are a reading machine! I must do better, I must do better, I must do better!

Dana, have you attempted the Tommyknockers again, or have you given up and decided it's not worth reading.

No, I'm going to read that. I am determined! Is it an audio? hmmm, may attempt it as an audio.

Audio book, that’s a great idea! I was going to suggest reading it at a constant but manageable pace i.e 30 pages a day; but it might be even more manageable to listen to it as an audio book. I know On Writing was more tolerable for me as an audio book… not that I finished it as an audio book ether; I’m going to give it a third try some day but not soon.

I didn't like Pierce Brosnan in his role at all. I pictured Bruce Willis (since his production company supposedly bought the rights to the book) in the lead. The age difference between Pierce and the leading lady was way too big for me to swallow.

Luckily i own all my King. Couldn't bear to part with them. Is there actually this romour about library policeman going around among kids? I saw King mentioned he got the idea when he heard his son Owen talking about the Library police man. Haven't heard anything similar here but is it an american thing?

Not that I am aware of - we used to have something called 'truant officers' that I heard about who would look for kids skipping school.

I think the Library Policeman is pure fiction from the mind of you know who! :love:SK:love:

I finished The Dark Half a few weeks ago and have been reading some other authors but as soon as I'm done with Boy's Life by Robert McCammon, I'm planning on my next SK re-read. I'm not sure which one yet, but I'm thinking maybe Needful Things (which is not on the short list I made in an earlier post - typical decision making for me ;-D).

By the way, I enjoyed The Dark Half the second time around. I thought the ending was great as you get the impression that this story isn't over with. This is one of SKs endings where things seem extremely fragile.
