She's still crunching. Even with the move across the room, I hear it. Nobody else bothers me.

Had to know. What IS it? Ice? Rocks? The core of the earth?

Veggie chips. Just veggie chip, - although I did not get a real good look at the bag. Could have been a disguise bag of something else.

Unless you actually looked into her mouth, it might not be a veggie chip. Just sayin'......:eyebrow:

Just me? Who else has a story.

Mine sits across from me. Every day at 10am and 2pm she slowly and methodically
rips papers in half, then in half again. It goes on and on.

I know, its a little thing. I am developing a twitch every time she does it. My left ear drum will spaz in protest.

Please make it stop! I am buying a paper shredder for her.

I used to do that. My job involved phoning people who did not want to hear from me. Often by the end of the call they were calling me names, swearing, and telling me to do things I think are physically impossible. And I would not raise my voice, or swear, and no matter what, I would just keep giving them instructions of what they had to do. This included many who claimed they couldn't speak English. And I just kept telling them what to do.....while I ripped paper.

I wasn't even aware what I was doing. I would occasionally see a pile of ripped up paper in my garbage can, but I didn't really think about how it got there. But one day someone was watching me and afterwards asked me if ripping the paper helped me stay calm. I didn't know what she was talking about. I looked down, and I was in the process of cleaning up a huge pile of ripped paper.

I wish my contribution to the thread was funny or amusing but no.

Annoying co-worker told a group of students she would like to tell Obama...he should be proud to be the first Muslim president....he didn't fool any one with his fake birth certificate...and siding/agreeing with ISIS is shameful...

:facepalm_smiley:
Sheesh. I hope you told the students the truth.

My worse one is a talker. He talks from the moment he arrives about everything and assumes i'm interested. He doesn't get any answer except an occasionally grunt , heck i am actually trying to work, but all hes rating about is how everyone else is stupid, so stupid that he does not condescend to speak to them but for some reason he thinks i'm acceptabel and intelligent enough to be the recipient of his constant talking. I Soon will be running out of excuses to get away from him. Have used the toilet excuse many times, also the phone excuse and the gotta talk with someone excuse....
We have a couple of those here at work as well. There is nothing that can be done about these people. Even reporting them to a manager really doesn't work. These people are like they are in all facets of their lives: at home with family, with friends, at the grocery store, the bank, etc.

I had a coworker ask my permission one Christmas to get my son a bicycle. She and her husband were part of a motorcycle club, and every year they bought toys and things for kids. Well, this particular year, the club wasn't doing that, for some reason or another, but they still had the money set aside, so she said she wanted to do that for us.

What a thoughtful thing to do! I thought. Made me cry. I was a single mom, so most of the presents were things he needed, as opposed to stuff he necessarily wanted. I accepted her kind offer and that Christmas, Brandon had a shiny new bike under the tree.

Then she told everyone in the store that I was a terrible person because I owed her money for that bike and would not pay her.

She had never, not once, ever mentioned money to me. Not before asking my permission to do it and not after.

I was so very angry and hurt.

I'm getting a lock for my cabinet at work. This morning, I get a text message from a co-worker telling me that on Friday, she borrowed some of my color developer and in the process, knocked a liter of another developer off the shelf and the bottle burst when it hit the floor. She's sorry, ordered replacement, etc. Blah blah Blah.....
That's all fine and good, but why was she using product from my cabinet without asking permission?

That does seem like an invasion of your privacy - does everyone else keep locks on their cabinets?

No, I would be the only person to lock a cabinet. We all buy our own supplies, and I don't mind sharing when someone needs to borrow.....but I feel that I should be asked first......and I expect to be paid back.
I don't like that someone would just go to my cabinet without asking.
Maybe I'm being selfish.....

You're NOT being selfish. You bought and paid for it. This woman is the selfish and quite rude one.

No - it is just common courtesy - you should maybe talk it out with her so she does not go in there again - good luck! :):strawberry:
