The installation of anti-homeless spikes sparks outrage.

Not like the money spent putting those spikes in could have gone for shelters or anything...

Just when you think you've seen it all China goes and ups the ante with "Homeless Spikes"

I don't see the logic here, I mean, they gotta go somewhere, if your gonna lay huge ass spikes under the bridges where they sleep, where are they suppose to go?? It's not like you'll be any happier when they are sleeping in the middle of the sidewalk.

So what if some little kid trips and falls on the spikes? What then? This is such a waste of time and money that could be put to better use- like building a shelter for the homeless....
That's a really REALLY good question. Never mind the social ramifications. Those things are dangerous. Imagine the lawsuit the crown faces.

That's what I thought, and then I saw it was in China, so "What then?" Well, nothing, good luck to any Chinese citizen trying to sue thier own government, they'd probably get 20 years for treason.
I saw that one article said China. The rest say London. And I think there's a London phone booth in the picture.

I don't even like it when I see bird spikes. This is disgusting. And I live in a city with a serious homeless problem. This is not the solution.

I understand that homelessness in an area causes property values to go down and businesses to suffer, but come on. These people are human. Let's get some mental health, housing, and drug resources for these people!
