Yes, Papi announced his retirement in spring training.
That would be after the schedule was made then. Right now, I can look up the 2017 schedule. We end away again.

Yes, Papi announced his retirement in spring training.
So, both the Jays and Orioles got wild card berths.
That puts the top 3 teams from the AL East in the playoffs.
Sox go to Cleveland for game 1 on Thursday. Have to play better than they have the last week. Seems like they have checked out since they clinched the division.
Other than one fan, it was a good clean game tonight.
Umpire seemed to be having an "on" night....which mean players from both teams were occasionally disagreeing with him, but on replay almost every call looked good.
Not sure who was calling the game. Post season we never get our regulars. But these guys were much better than last year. But, could somebody tell them, Montreal is not in Ontario. Lol
Next up....Texas. I'm not looking forward to this. I hope they have excellent umpires. It's gonna get bumpy.

Red Sox? You've been reading too many Stephen King fiction novels, methinks.Almost right. Changes for me would be Sox beat Rangers for the AL title. Then Sox beat Cubs for WS title. Papi's going out in style!
It'll sure be less than 86 years.7 what? Years?
Dramatic win for the Jays.
Texas will be tough. Especially if Osuna blew out his shoulder. Which it looks like he may have, despite the Team saying it was "fatigue".
