Then, The Susan G. Komen people -- they supposedly took a million dollars of donations to fight in court other people's use of "for the cure." I think the main one was Cupcakes for the cure -- a fundraising thing involving cupcakes obviously.

This arrogant lawsuit pissed me off because, why can't people use FOR THE CURE? Really? you are so full of yourself that you can't look at something you started as a good thing that is spreading the word and raising money?

This reminds me of a letter Groucho Marx wrote to Warner Brothers when the company claimed the Marx Brothers couldn't call their movie A Night in Casablanca because Warner Bros. already had produced the movie Casablanca. His reasoning that he can use the name is hilarious. Takes a bit to read, but well worth the laughs.

I haven't, but I have ordered little grab bags of samples from Sephora. I got their summer kit this year and it is filled with some really great products that I might not normally have tried. (although all of them are filled with chemicals.)

Not to sound like a b*tch, but... First of all, my mom died from breast cancer so since then, I have been more vigilant about what I put in and on my body chemical wise. Sugar is my nemesis.

Anyway, it drives me nuts to give any money to the two big fund raising giants in this field. The AVON walk for breast cancer. This drives me nuts that thousands and thousands of women walk in this, donate their money and AVON is using chemicals in their make-up CAUSING breast cancer.

Sorry, sort of went off on a side road there.

Have you noticed your knuckles getting darker? This is not dirt. Check out this link. Lightening those knuckles makes your hands more feminine and younger looking.

I think we discussed this on another thread, but I won't give a penny to Komen, Special Olympics, Red Cross, etc. etc. Most of what is donated goes to 'overhead'--exec salaries and advertising. Nope. Uh-uh. Not a penny.

Has anyone ever heard that eating almonds makes your boobs bigger? I'm being serious here. Someone told me that this weekend.
Foods with phytoestrogens in them contribute to female curves because the phytoestrogens in them mimic our estrogen, so maybe that's what your friend was talking about.
Flax seed, soybeans, tofu, legumes (beans and lentils), oats, barley, apples, and yams are but a few of the foods with the highest amount of phytoestrogens in them.

Say Sorry Holly , and thanks Lily. I had to look this up. It seems to work if you stuff enough of them in your bra.

I am still worried about that watermelon seed I ate back in the day. They said it would grow a watermelon or a baby in your stomach.

I will show myself out now.

;;D I'm gonna have to lay off the almonds then. I don't need bigger anything.

I was thinking-if you eat enough of anything...you gain weight and EVERYTHING gets bigger! ;;D

Hey, gals....a long time ago a friend of mine told me not to use talcum powder because it's linked to cervical cancer. I didn't question her.
So I stopped using it and switched to cornstarch baby powder.

I find it interesting that the first class-action lawsuits against makers of talc-based baby powder are now being filed. I saw the first TV ad for one a few days ago.

So avoid talc, kittens.

Yup, I remember a hubbub when my older kids were tiny. Couldn't have been cervical cancer I heard about (as I was worried about babies, not me), but there are other reasons not to use talc--something to do with breathing/lungs maybe? Regardless, we've been cornstarch users here for a long time, too.
