Fantastic!Just finished these two bookmarks today. Some of you may recognize where it came from?

I should probably keep this to myself....but I'm not quite smart enough. And I especially want Moderator to see this post....since you know him personally.
I posted the picture of these bookmarks on a craft site I go to. One person said the first one (quote from Gunslinger) reminded her of Snoopy, always 'writing' a best seller with his typewriter on top of his doghouse.
So.....Mr. King has been compared to a lot of different writers over the years, but this is probably the first time he's been compared to Snoopy. And not Charles Schulz, but actually Snoopy.
In my mind, Stephen King has a really good sense of humour. I think this would make him laugh. If I'm wrong, I apologize and you can delete this post.

lol... I can't imagine SK getting upset about being compared to Snoopy. I'm guessing he'd laugh and make some kind of funny comment

Or in any context! Snoopy is one cool dude!I agree. He's got a great sense of humor and don't think he'd mind in the least being compared to Snoopy in that context.
Has to have the shadow box frame (but with glass to keep off dust and critters--wool and moths don't play well) because of the raised details on some areas. Probably would have figured that out but was one of the tips the instructor mentioned that will save me some time and money buying the wrong kind.Beautiful artwork, MsMod. Your talents amaze me. A shadow box sound perfect!

Wow! Love those Marcia. With the vase of flowers you can tell what it is before felting; with the landscape though, at first I thought it was just a pile of fibers you had collected. But when I clicked to the next picture I was amazed! In a former life (!) I studied textiles in college for a couple of years so I really can appreciate all the work you did here. Brava!Took a workshop this weekend on how to do wet felting. Other than the 6 hours traveling each way to MA, it was well worth it and had a lot of fun. I'm going to need a lot more practice on the hand stitching as I've never done much embroidery work but for a first effort, pleased with the results. Am putting in the pics before felting and then finished (I think ) except for mounting and framing in a shadow box frame.

No, but she's from Scotland so perhaps they don't have that issue either. I don't think we'd need that here since the majority of the year it's not that humid but good to know in case I notice it does happen. I'm trying to figure out how to put that on, though, as the felt would be mounted to mounting board and then framed which in my mind I see as being level with the back of the frame.I don't think ME has the humidity of Fl. Did the lady suggest using a packet of desiccant behind the project to prevent any moisture from building up behind the glass?
Thank you! One of the other tips the instructor (Moy Mackay of Moy Mackay Gallery--her work is amazing!) gave us was to hold our cell phone or camera directly above the piece as we went along and it would give a pretty good approximation of what the finished felt would look like because that angle flattens it out. It was amazing to look from the table at the piles of fluff and then at the picture to see the transformation right before your eyes and be able to adjust things before it got to the felting.Wow!
