On covering The Beatles: It should NEVER be done, however, I really think Aerosmith nailed "Come Together" and gave it the edge it needed!
I love both these songs, but I think Joss Stone took a rock classic and truly made it her own!

Imho, the Beach Boys' cover of this song is the greatest cover in history.
The Beatles version is superior, of course, but I really like Elton John's, too.
Personally can't stand the Aerosmith version. It's just a completely unnecessary recording, imho.
I prefer the Beatles version, and not I think due to my Beatles bias; tho the song is a genius, and that's on Buddy Holly.
Likewise gotta love RJ, but Clapton's is the greatest live lead guitar solo ever recorded, imho.
I appreciate the original for it's morbid subject matter, and for giving Led Zeppelin the opportunity to create one of my all-time favorite covers.
Whatta setta pipes. She could belt it out like nobody else.

I prefer the Buddy Holly version. I like the Stones version as well, However, it sounds like they were popping a lot of speed right before recording this. The tempo is jacked up

There's no comparison between Stevie's superior original and Art's cover, except to say that they're both gorgeous.
Difficult choice, but gotta go with the original since it's such a great song and credit must go to the composer.
