I think the original is a beautiful recording, but Lennon's raw vocals (literally raw; I heard that his voice sounds that way because when they recorded Twist and Shout, last of the day, he'd been singing so much his vocal cords were worn out) make their version incredible to me.

carrie's younger brother - I adore Linda Ronstadt's voice. I saw an interview recently where she said that the singing she did onstage was just a tiny percentage of the singing she did in a day, that she loved to sing around the house, in the shower, etc., and who can blame her. Her voice was perfection.

Not too shabby...but this Aerosmith version does it for me.
It's raw, with great harmonica playing, and the band sound like they're really enjoying themselves!
