Well, my dilemma of the day was whether or not to leave The Man with Two D**** thread. Upon further thought, I have deleted it, but it is in a place where Marsha can reestablish it if she deems it to be, uh, redeemable.

The pictures they linked to in the article were just too graphic.

Dilemma - do I carry on listening to Joyland , even although it's very very slow and little has lifted my enthusiasm ... Or do I put it aside and begin Dr Sleep?

I want Joyand to move up a few gears , but chapters are passing by without incident and it's beginning to frustrate .

Do you just listen to audiobooks? I read the actual book when it first came out.

Dr. Sleep was also very good, so if Joyland is not working for you I would just carry on and start on Doctor Sleep

Audio only - tried reading , but I kept missing my exits - and knocking over old ladies.

I'm on the road a lot - so it passed the time neesy, but this one is real bad - like scooby doo ' I woulda got away with it if it wasn't for you meddling kids ' Not one to write home about . ( only my view)

I am puzzled by you folks who don't fall right into Joyland - it was a bit different but I loved it right at the first sentence. I am a slow reader, but I read that one in just a day or two because I didn't want to put it down. I can see where it's a bit slow moving, and if you prefer more action, you don't get a lot of that until the last few chapters. What's your favorite then?
