Derren Brown is good at showing how clairvoyance, psychological magic and horoscopes are done. And Richard Dawkins, when he's not arguing with theists, is good at explaining 'supernatural' experiences, and things like coincidences. The Colour of Magic is a great book.

I like debunking. I tend to go with "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence" (thank you, Carl Sagan). But if you experience something extraordinary, and you rationally know that there's other explanations including incredible coincidence or defective mental processes, but still it was extraordinary, and extraordinary explanations start to sound more logical than those "rational" ones, it becomes a little harder to debunk yourself.

And if you were not the only one with experiences.

*sorry edit* I just typed way too much.

Yes I believe in ghosts... many experiences
Like I said before, most of the experience I've had have been through dreams. I think, if I remember correctly that you have had similar experiences.
I wonder if everyone has these dreams but they just don't remember. I remember my dreams almost every morning, always have. Some people don't remember them at all. So... just wondering.

I'm saying this just because. Just because someone fakes or imitates a real thing, it doesn't prove that there are no real things.
So far as fake T.V. psychics go, they are hilarious to me. The ghosts even laugh at them. :ghost:
If you haven't seen the UK show Afterlife, it makes this same point. Probably my favorite series ever, though it's only 2 seasons. Anything is possible under the sun, right? 'Psychics' of the usual sort make me truly angry, because they feed on the misery and despair of others, take advantage of their pain.

The worst kind of charlatan. Profiting from suffering is the worse kind of profiteer.
However, I do like ghost hunting shows that are there to find out what's causing the disturbance, be it bad plumbing or loose floor boards. One show I saw, found that the eerie noise the people heard at night was the cat snoring. I like those that debunk first, ask questions later.
I hate the shows that use psychics. Most of them are huge phonies who are full of bologna.
I'm going to see if I can find Afterlife on Netflix or Amazon. Thanks for the heads up. Sounds like something that's right up my dark alley.
