Can you roast wienies in that fireplace? You might want to stock up.
It's covered with glass, but I guess I could take it off in an emergency. Anyway, that's what the generator is for. And if it doesn't work I could always grill outside.

I did replace the auger belt, changed the oil, and replaced a few shear pins on my snowblower. So at least I won't be shoveling by hand.

Saw snow fog on the drive into work. Friday is supposed to be our coldest day for this week. High of 8 and low of -1 but didn't see anything about the wind chill factor. More snow Saturday, possible 3-5", and then Sunday is forecast to be 40 degrees. Crazy weather.

There's always dogs and burgers in the freezer. Don't know about snow this week, but if we have high winds we always tend to get a dusting from the ski resort making snow.

An aside... Anyone here ever have an In-N-Out Burger? I hear they’re the best in the world.

I like onion rings on the side, but thank you for asking.

In-N-Out Burger? They the ones that make The Big Kahuna? Now, that's one tasty burger.........

I've only been once when I was in Tucson as we don't have them here. It was good but I don't see what the hoopla is about. It obviously wasn't good enough to lure me back every time I go to AZ. Maybe I'll have to try it again when I go out next year and it will make a better impression.

Did you have The Big Kahuna when you went?

On this side the temp is going up..... The snow has started to melt as it is now about 1-2 above zero. I like a white christmas so i'm kind of sorry to see it go. Hope it will be back before christmas eve. In sweden we do all the giftgiving and eating and drinking on christmas Eve. Christmas day is a day for recuperation. Everyone sneaks out to the kitchen and get some leftovers when they feel like it. Cheese or the christmas ham or the meatballs or the sausages or the fish or just candy for those that cant get up from the coach. Christmas day is Lazy Day!

You'd think someone'd be enjoying the beach on a day like today. Maybe they're all in the water. And...is that a Big W? Maybe an Almost A. Wannabee X?
Spent three and a half hours this morning moving snow, us and three neighbors. Single digits. Wind. Snow. Supplier won't be bringing six windows tomorrow. No biggy no biggy no problem no problem...as this guy from New York New York used to say. Some beach! Some where! Have the chime clock set to play Christmas songs on the hour...just played something. Best not screw up those lyrics...don't know what song it was, anyway. Earlier, down in the shop...cold here, what's going on? Door got left open a crack. Yikes! Did that this once we went on vacation...got back to a frozen toilet, nothing cracked. But I'm looking at the furnace over against the wall...step into the shop, turn the thermostat up....wait....wait...wait. Step into the basement, feel a fin-tube up against the ceiling...hot...so the furnace was running. I do have a...thingie...on hand, in case the furnace decides to quit on us. We're still getting hammered. Lots of snow. Banks on either side of the road are five feet high and ten feet deep, blew two and a half feet of snow off the deck Saturday morning, there's an easy foot out there now, and there's a big wave of white hanging two three feet off the back end of the garage roof. Don't believe there's any concern about a lack of snow for the statues up at Tech.
