I guess I've been forgiven. DS is still really stressed and grumpy over school, but I went out to do some shopping yesterday, and when I got home he had washed up the dirty dishes. I had not asked him to, and there were enough clean for his breakfast, but he just did it. I did thank him.

~~~
And now something that I really am angry about.
I went to Michael's to buy some craft supplies. One thing rang up at $1.89 instead of 29 cents. I said I'd pay and then go check the shelf, rather than hold the line up. ($1.89 is not a lot of money, but it's 4x the price.)
The way it was marked on the shelf was very misleading. When I checked, I could now see the correct price, but it was an easy mistake to make. I wanted to request they make it clear. But nobody works in that department.
The one employee I found said it wasn't her department. She tried to call a manager, but they responded that they were busy. (THEY meaning more than one) I left and I will be sending an e-mail, including telling them what craft store will become my new regular craft supply store.
I am angrier about nobody caring to help an employee than I am over the price.
Is the activation of our modes dependent on others?
It can be. Say your'e in a good mood at home, so there's nothing to ruin that unless you see something that makes you mad on the TV or something. Unfortunately, we cant' live in a vacuum. Good nature and happiness these days, I think, are seen as weakness. And the politicinas go "Oh, we don't understand why people are so aggressive even though they don't give a stuff about if you might have fought for your country and because of circumstances they don't give a stuff. Dog eat Dog.
A Michael's opened here recently. I had a 40% off coupon from a flyer, so I decided to check it out. Wasn't impressed - I didn't think the selection was very good. Unfortunately, the best local craft store we have is Hobby Lobby. It is about six times the size of the Michael's store.
I try hard not to shop at my local hobby lobby. I don't want to give them my money but I will if it is an item I just can't find anywhere else. They do have a lot of great supplies. But if I can find them elsewhere conveniently, I will buy it elsewhere.
I have never heard of Hobby Lobby but it sounds like my kind of store. There is a huge Michael's in Kelowna but it
is very expensive. Once in awhile there is a 50% off coupon in their flyer. They sell the best card stock and envelopes
that I have been able to find so far. But they are pricey $40. for 50 cards and envelopes.
go online to their website and print coupons. You can walk in there every time with at least a 40% off coupon.
Thanks :), I never thought of the website.
The one near me has free wifi, so if you forget you can show a coupon on a smart phone.
I don't think Hobby Lobby is in Canada.
If it was here, I would likely avoid it over political reasons. (Not wanting to argue or debate. Just saying ME. :) )
I've actually printed two coupons before and made my husband go through the line with something I needed.
I am a couponaholic. I know it's not a real word but definitely describes me. Twice a week free local newspapers are delivered and
put in the lobby. I take 6 of em, remove the coupon books and put the newspapers back at the bottom of the pile. Finally have a
printer and now I can print multi copies of coupons too. Especially the B1G1 free product coupons :)
Well, this is cool other than you are taking someone's coupon book! :laugh: Just go to their web sites and print coupons, these companies always have printable coupons.
No I made sure I wasn't taking someone else's. They bring 50 newspapers each time and there is 36 apts. I put the ones I have
taken from at the bottom so no one gets a newspaper without a coupon book. But I don't think anyone uses them because I
see all kinds of them in the recycling bin. (No, I don't dumpster dive, I have my limits. :))
