Because some effing a*hole who was plowing a driveway did not bother to stop reversing and came out into the street in my lane. I had just enough time to swerve out into the other lane and get around him and thankfully there wasn't a car coming from the other direction. I had a feeling he was going to do that but didn't have time to stop plus they hadn't sanded that side of the road well so was a little icy and I was afraid I would end up in the ditch if I did brake. I was blowing my horn but he still kept coming. I have studded snow tires so that may have helped keep my car from fishtailing more than it did as I went around him holding my breath the whole time as I was afraid he was going to back right into me. Took a while for the adrenalin to settle down.

Thankful you are OK. You do know that person is the only one on the planet- Cars on a road- never. Just him and lala land. Deep breaths.

I'm just thankful my guardian angel was on duty this morning. :smile2:
Glad you are ok! There does seem to be a universal button that gets pushed when a person gets into a snowplow that tells them they don't need to watch out for other drivers. :facepalm_smiley:

I was pulled over to the side on my street the other day, picking up the neighbor kid for school and had one coming up fast behind me, I thought he was going to clip me. :dejection:

They'd had a spot on the local news last night that that station was doing a snowplow driver appreciation day and I was thinking it was a well-deserved tribute but today, not so much. ;-D

I'd have probably paid tribute to that guy via a one fingered wave.....:D
I thought about it but I was too busy making sure I kept the fishtailing under control. The speed limit on that road is 45 and I was going around 40 at the time. He probably wouldn't have even noticed, though, as he completely ignored my horn blaring at him both before I had to go around him and after I got by. Well, that part I have to assume as I had to pay attention to the road so wasn't looking in my rear mirror to see if there was any reaction from him.

Controlling the car comes first, but a good blast from an air horn might get his attention. (many uses of air horns- bears in the yard)

This reminded me of Malcolm X. He said he would rather deal with southerners because he knew exactly what their thoughts were about him than deal with northerners who smiled at him and talked nice. paraphrasing that.
...yes ma'am......I can get all the knives in the back I need at work.....certainly don't need them from here.....

So I went last week to see my eye doctor because I need new glasses and it's better to get testet by a doctor.
He told me it's really hard to tell which prescription I need. Plus I constantly use one eye and my brain blocks the other. I am fine don't have any trouble. Okay last he said is "You should go and see some other specialist. Let's see if we should try to cure it or not." I called there and they have appointments in August.

I am really angry new glasses in August plus I maybe have to move into another city job related who knows if I stay here in my area. :facepalm_smiley:

I allready called an other place and they give you as well appointments in August...
Be sure to keep an eye on that problem niro (and I am not trying to be funny here) - it is always good to get a second opinion if the first guy did not make you feel comfortable).
Good luck!

This is a problem for me. People in my area are taught to be nice as pie to everyone's face, then eviscerate them the minute they walk away. I don't have that in me. Rest assured, if I don't like someone I stay away from them. If I have something to say, I say it to them. Even if I don't say it, my face shows everything (lol). So women around my area don't get me and I don't get them. *sigh*
