Dio-you'd better be careful, I don't care how tough you are! Don't make me come over there!!!
Because I'll bring PETA!
Thanks, but you all come at your own peril missy! I have three attack cats that are under the mistaken impression that I like them. Two birds that will squawk your ears off and a bunch of fish that will bore you to death. And I won't even tell you what the hermit crabs might do. Not to mention the spiders... and this time of the year there are lots and lots of spiders. :)

Behind you
I was without water all day today. No bathroom, shower, no cooking.
I called and called the apts with no answer. No 24 hour maintenance they say they have.

Finally came back on! Happy Happy! Made some iced tea! Drank it till it tasted funny. Went back to kitchen and ran the water. It was all muddy!, or something.
Looked like apple cider color. My fault for not checking first. Did not think of it.

Great, I have no idea what kinds of muck I drank. grr. I better not get sick.

I have since ran it for a half hour till it looks? clean.

I am very grateful I have a job as a substitute teacher. (As many days as I can get.)

I am angry/bewildered because the students can curse me out without repercussion. Nary a day goes by when I am not called a b*tch, mother effer, and told I can go eff myself. In front of the entire class.

If I call Discipline (administrators whose job is to take the offending student out of class) they look at me and roll their eyes. "Good lord! You called me JUST because a student ragged you out."

Apparently, I am a bad Sub who has a thin skin and can't/won't take verbal abuse.

I no longer call Discipline when I get called out of my name, my mother and father are part of the verbal abuse and I am told to fornicate myself. And my parents.

*Deep breath*

I will keep subbing because there are always some students who want to learn and appreciate the opportunity when a sub, me, is willing to help them out.

Peace.
Wow. If this happened at the school in which I teach, the student would immediately be suspended. I'm so sorry you have to try to teach in that environment.

I cut my finger on a window scraper blade. I was reaching into my tool box and it got me . It's right on the top of my finger so it's practically impossible to get a bandage on it. I knew that scrapper was in there and I thought I was being careful. It seems like the only places I cut myself are the impossible ones to put a bandage on. ;-D

Here, there and everywhere.
I applied for a job, and got a call back for an interview. I interviewed on Monday morning, and was told they'd be interviewing until Wednesday afternoon. I got home Wednesday evening, and there was a message on the machine from the head of the department, asking me to call her in the morning. Yay, I think, I got the job! I called Thursday morning, and left a message. I waited by the phone all day - nothing. I called back Friday morning, thinking maybe the secretary didn't give her my message. I sat by the phone until noon, a total anxious mess. So finally, I sent an e-mail thanking her for the interview (I'd already sent a letter in the mail), and letting her know she could reach me via phone or e-mail. Jeez - really? You call a candidate and leave a message, and then nothing?? She then sent me an e-mail saying that while she enjoyed our interview, she'd recommended someone else for the position.

So what happened, I wonder, between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, that changed her mind? Surely she wasn't calling me to chat.

Frustrating. Maddening.

No, I've never tried that. Does it work good?

Yes, comes in a spray too.
