I am happy today, because a LOOOONNNGGG project I have been part of has finally moved into production today! My days of spending hours gathering data for a weekly report are over! Yippee!!
:jammin:
What? No working overnight and getting paid for meals etc? (or am I confused?)

Glad to hear it's all finally coming together!

(I seem to recall you talking about ordering steak)

:biggrin2: There will probably still be work events that I will have to attend, and yes, when they make me go, I will indeed order the steak! ;-D

I work for a pretty big corporation and attending these dinners is unavoidable sometimes.

Stay with them as long as possible.

I kept my Blue Cross going after retiring from Health Sciences Centre recently and found out that dental is not covered now. Good thing I still have my Sun Life and Pensioner's Dental Services plan from when I was in the military.

Do they put you up in a hotel or do you get to go home at night?

If we travel, then yes, a hotel is involved. I don't usually have to work overnight.
Glad you were able to keep some dental coverage!

Had a unexpectedly nice day when I got home from work yesterday. My wife's almost three year old, my step son now, is usually running around the house like a three year old when I get home from work. When I came in yesterday he was running down the hallway toward his bedroom but when he saw me he detoured and jumped at me from about 2 feet away about knocking me over. He gave me a huge bear hug and yelled "HI CHANNON! YOU HOME! I LOVE YOU MUCH"! He hasn't quite got "S" down yet so my name comes out sounding like "Channon"..lol, I carried him into the living room to see my wife absolutely beaming with a smile. I didn't say anything but the look on her face was all that I needed to see how happy it made her to hear him say that. It makes me think hopefully I'm doing something right by him since he's been thru way too much for a not even three year old boy. Made my long day at work a little better.

Glad to see your step son is so happy - by the way - I forgot to say happy one month anniversary!

He's a good kid, he really is. He cracks me up a lot because it's been so long since I had a toddler that age running around the house causing chaos. He drives his mom crazy but I have to stifle the giggles sometimes when he gets her so wound up and frustrated. They're so much alike one another and that's what cracks me up more than anything that neither seem to see that...lol

And then there's the flip side of the whole toddler thing where you run out of hot dogs at home and there isn't a single solitary thing in the known or unknown universe that will replace a hot dog at that very instant which results in a melt down tantrum hissy fit...almost as funny to be honest....lol
