I hate cell phones

I hate the cutesie fake word veggies. It's like nails on a chalkboard when I hear someone say that. There are other cutesie fake words that bother me too. There is a new one that I have heard recently in fast food TV ads that is making me crazy; melty cheese instead of melted cheese.
So I am guessing no melty cheese on your veggies?

Sorry, couldn't resist!

One thing i'm thinking about is the Swedish poet Tomas Tranströmer who won the Nobel Prize a couple of years back. I have never understood why people like him and so many, not only in sweden, consider him a great poet. Never liked him and consider him very overrated but i am in the minority. (whats a SAHM?) And i agree about Hemingway and Kerouac. Afraid i havent read Salinger.

Another thing which perhaps will get me into hot water is Dean Koontz. I have read about 10 of his novels. 2 were good, the rest were.... some ok for the moment and some i found boring. Another was Michael Crichton. A lot of great ideas but seldom they were made into a really good book. Decent thrillers but not so very much more.

I make have mentioned this before, but I don't like jazz. Or really, any kind of music where the point is to sit and watch other people play long, self-indulgent solos.

Look, I get it, you can really play! I rather assumed you could when they invited you to take the stage. And it appears you enjoy playing by yourself, and in front of a crowd to boot. You'll get no judgement from me, what you and your friends choose to do in the privacy of your seedy clubs is your business. But, pal, now are are using *my* music-enjoyment time to stroke your own....instrument, and I'm started to feel a little dirty and used.

I'm not enamored with the Beatles. Or Elvis. They had their moments, and those moments were good. I moved on long ago.

I think we're too hung up on sex in almost every way.

I read Catcher in the Rye and watched Citizen Kane, and I wish I had those hours of my life back. I don't even remember the stories, hardly. Brain needs that space for worthwhile things.

I've never smoked tobacco. That might not seem swimming against the tide, but I grew up in a domestic and social haze of cigarette smoke, including my parents. But it never attracted me in the slightest. Nor was I tempted to smoke, toke, or drop in college.

I don't mind changing diapers, buying feminine hygiene products, holding my wife's purse, or picking up our dog's doots from the yard or while out on a walk. It's just part of life. No big deal. If it gets messy, we got soap and water.
