...I work for the State of Ohio in the Correctional system as many of you already know.....not the most hygienic of environments....they offer employees flu shots every year, but we are expected to pay for them......:mad-new:....I work in this cesspool, and you can't even benny me a flu shot????.....
Ah - but if it's the pumpkin spice one :hmm:...

That sucks, actually - it should be free to you just like it is free for all hospital staff (where I used to work)

I think it should be free and mandatory for people in health care. When my son worked in health care he got mad because it was mandatory. He had intended to get the shot, but he resented being told he had to. (Ya...that’s what he was always like.)

This isn’t about flu shot, it’s about vaccine. But seriously...why would someone so anti-science work as a nurse?

Sadly with the power of the internet, idiots can spread their warped views on science that has ironclad evidence behind it with so much as the tap of a finger. You wouldn't believe how many people don't vaccinate their kids and then wonder why their kids have such a barnyard of awful diseases.

Measles was nearly wiped out due to the very effective vaccine against it. Now we see small outbreaks all over. That jackass who wrote about his "research" and "findings" that were nothing but bunk has a lot to answer for. If not in this side of the clearing, then the next.

I'm pretty sure it's the same here in Texas, though there are still people who have very misconstrued ideas on vaccines.

When my girls were in grade school I remember one year just over 100 kids were sent home the first week of school until they were vaccinated. One of the reasons they were not vaccinated is because the kids complained the needles hurt so the parents didn't get it done. Some it was because of religious beliefs. There were about 450 in the school, so that was a huge number to be sent home.
