I really liked how we ran the Bangor Kon (I wasn't able to attend Ohio). Specific events scheduled, different people were in charge of their stuff, random festivities arose, it was all very low key lots of helping hands and a great deal of fun. I really don't want to make this Colorado Kon sit on just one persons shoulders. When the time comes for 'actual planning' I think a committee with sub comittees could be created for volunteers.
In the interim for our 'roundtable of ideas' stage if I may suggest....
if you have an idea, look into it and gather up the info and share. For example, if you think the Stanley would be cool: contact the hotel, find out group rate requirements and fee schedule then share it with the group. If you find a cool 'ghost hunting tour' contact the people find out the lead time for reservations, cost, etc and share with the group. We can stockpile ideas and pick the best ones for the Kon.
We are such a diverse bunch. all with internet connections. I bet if everyone pitched in and presented their ideas
with the information I bet we could be on the path to putting together a really fun event. Especially with the amount of time available to plan
