The WordSlinger himself tweeted about this one:

Stephen King on Twitter: "How good is HUSH? Up there with HALLOWEEN and--even more--WAIT UNTIL DARK. White knuckle time. On Netflix."

HUSH - on Netflix.

He was so right. A deaf/mute writer must literally write an ending that allows her to escape the clutches of a tortuous killer. A real nail biter.

Even has a King easter egg!
And,

If I was a person, living alone in a cabin in the woods, and I happened to be deaf. I would have curtains on every single one of those windows. WTH people!? You LIKE being entertainment for every weirdo that stands in the shadows and looks in your windows? Nope, no way.

I am not a gun advocate at all, BUT, in this scenario, I would have had guns everywhere! You mess with me like this guy and I will blow you away.

Wife & I watched Time Traveler's Wife last night. Have not read the story. Enjoyed the movie, thought the time sequences puzzling but enjoyable still, and now I'm wondering if I will ever read the story--I'd seen it here there everywhere--and the desire to read the story was there...now, maybe not so much. Anyone read the story? Worth a read?

Oh yes.

Don't feel bad. Many have tried to map out the possible plot permutations. Check these diagrams out.

Here's the most common one:

It might as well have been about paint drying. I might have understood it better!:umm:

Reminds me of Good Will Hunting and his mathematical equations (but that movie was easy to figure out).

One of my favorite non-SK books, but I haven't seen the film. Yet. I may have to talk the hubby into watching it soon.

Perfect movie.

Tell me about it. I may be exaggerating when I say I've seen it a hundred times...but not by much. I have a soft spot for low budget movies done well...and some not done as well. My family room proudly displays my "Official Member Church of Ed Wood" certificate thingy.

Staying on topic...last movie watched, Halloween II. It's an OCD thing. :beguiled:

Thank you. We enjoyed the movie and sounds like I should read the story. Should have learned that lesson about not reading a story from King's movies, some of which I'd seen before ever picking up a story. Hasn't worked well the other way, though...after reading a good story, watching the movie, been let down. Catch-22...meh. Story is great, movie, so-so. Maybe some of King's stories...Tommyknockers, for one.

I really wonder how many times I've seen it too--hundreds, I'm sure. I don't know how I can get so annoyed with most repetitive things, but not with certain movies, books, songs. I never get tired of Michael Myers and Laurie and Dr. Loomis.

Sometimes the hype of popular fiction is a turn off for me, so I was late to reading this one. But sometimes the fiction is popular for a reason.
It's just unputdownable (<-- I don't know if that's a word, but it should be).

We just watched Baz Lurhmann's Romeo + Juliet.
First time I've been able to sit through the whole thing. I love the idea of using the original centuries-old play as a script. I love Baz's movies. I love John Leguizamo. But for some reason I could never get more than 20 minutes into it before tonight. Maybe because we paid a few bucks since the daughter wanted to see it.
