Pushing Tin (1999) John Cusack, Billy Bob Thornton, Cate Blanchett

A comedy/drama where John Cusack plays a hotshot air traffic controller who feels jealous and threatened when a new hotshot air traffic controller (Billy Bob) is hired. The two engage in an obsessive competition. I liked this except for the overly sentimental ending.

Watched on Netflix. A bit disappointing, since I loved the first one. There were so many cameos in this movie, I cringe at how much it must have cost to make. I could look it up, but I'm afraid! :hopelessness:
I was so disappointed too! I didn't fall in love with the first one the first time I saw it, it took another viewing to appreciate it and now I love it. This one is just yuck. I won't watch it again.

I LOVED this movie. Love John Cusak but his character was sorta cruddy. Billy Bob was good IMO.

Thank you!

Darkness - A teenage girl moves into a remote countryside house with her family, only to discover that their gloomy new home has a horrifying past that threatens to destroy the family.

If creepy little kids scare you...you're gonna love this one! One caveat

The ending is weak,
IMO.

Peace.

Watched on Netflix. Haven't been a Leo fan since The Basketball Diaries and What's Eating Gilbert Grape. What happened to that Leo? I blame it on the supermodels (AKA succubae).
Oh man! I started to watch it myself last night! Got as far as him
either snorting coke off the hookers ass, or blowing it up her behiney (I wasn't sure which was going on as I saw no coke going UP the straw.)

That was too much for me.

I'm pretty sure it was the latter! I had heard of the phrase "snorting coke off a hooker's a$$" and thought to myself while watching that dreadful scene-"Hey Leo, you jacka$$, you're doin' it wrong!!"

I really want to see this--and I did read that it's very dirty, lol!

Days Of Thunder (1990) Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman, Robert Duvall, Randy Quaid, John C Reilly Directed by Tony Scott Written by Robert Towne

How can that much talent churn out such a piece of crap? I think they were trying to copy Top Gun. This is like Top Gun without the intelligence. ;-D This is a completely unbelievable story with every bad cliche imaginable. I'm not sure why I watched it because I already knew it sucked (I saw it in the theater when it was released). It's not any better 24 years later. I bought one of those cheap movie 3 packs and this was in it so I guess I felt obligated to watch it. ;-D.
