    Hola!

    I love~~~ pizza.

My favorite is hand tossed, double peperoni, heavy on the jalapenos and NO CHEESE! (Put it through the oven twice, please.)

Yes, I know. NO CHEESE! Egads! I hate cheese. *gagging noises*

(Get this! During Lent I give up all animal flesh. So, my pizza order is as follows: One pizza, no cheese, no meat, heavy on the jalapenos. I get bread, tomato sauce and JALAPENOS!!! Yay!)

    What's on YOUR pizza?

    Peace.

Anything. Sometimes I'll just pull out wraps and make small personal pizzas for Grandma 'n' me with the wrap as the crust. Keeps it low-carb.

If I make my own crust, I brush it with garlic butter before popping it into the oven. Gives it a nice garlic bread flavor.

We've been liking Mediterranean pizzas lately. Plopped on tomato sauce are artichoke hearts, olives, souvlaki, maybe some peppers and onions.

But we are a cheesy family. Always, cheese on it. And after it comes out, we'll sprinkle grated parmesan on. I'll add cayenne pepper to mine.

I like me some jalapenos on a "supreme." With more on the side.

I also like simple artisan styles...it is hard to beat a good Margherita.

Whew - I am starting to think we share thoughts around here. I was thinking, as I was waiting to pick up the pizza, that this would be an interesting thread to start! Amazing, no?

I can't believe you don't like cheese, Sigmund. I love cheese.

There's a place in Memphis called Arcade - you've seen it if you've seen 21 Grams or The Firm. They have very interesting pizzas. Eggplant & feta; goat cheese, pine nuts and spinach. and the like. Those are my favorite.

But if I am just picking up at Papa Johns, I like thin crust, pork sausage and mushrooms.

Not a fan of fetta, olives, mushrooms, or anchovies... but I like most other things. Especially jalapenos.

I love pizzas and every other friday we have pizza night and my absolute favourite is bolognese closely followed by double pepperoni.

Pepperoni, mushrooms, sausage, olives with anchovies on the side. I like anchovies but not cooked on the pizza.

    Haunted My favorite place

For me and mine there must be sauce first of all; a lot of places are very stingy with the sauce. Then either all veggies (no 'shrooms for me) or pepperoni and onion and green peppers. YUM!

PS. NO little fishies, yech and yucka poo!!

Tomatoes, white onion, mushrooms and green pepper - but my favourite is to have a dipping sauce on the side.

I had a piece in the microwave but got busy cleaning up, doing housework etc.

So now I have sliced it in thin strips and I am trying it with one of those little espresso cups filled with Elman's Horseradish Sauce (Puts ZING in Everything!)

That stuff will clear your sinuses and it is made right here in Winnipeg. It is also kosher and 'pareve' - I know what kosher means, but I guess I will have to Google pareve.

    Did you know?

Legend has it that the Delphic Oracle told Apollo, "The radish is worth its weight in lead, the beet its weight in silver... but the Horseradish, its weight in gold."

Love pizza! My favorite is homemade (including sauce), either with lots of veggies (especially in garden season) or a sort of Mediterranean: brush the crust with olive oil,and a couple of pressed garlic cloves, then some fresh tomatoes, scatter with spinach and sun dried tomatoes, maybe some kalamata olives or a little grilled chicken, a scatter of mozzarella and a bit of feta, season with a little salt, some fresh (preferable) or dried basil, then bake at 400F for about 12 mins. Mmmmmm...

They are super salty so you just want them sparingly.

Prior to my need to put pizza on the back burner due to my diet program I liked thick, doughy crusted pizza with lots of all kinds of toppings, especially Italian sausage, onions, cheese, and jalapeños. I'd always add salt and pepper and beer. Once I've reached my weight goal I can include certain foods again, but they'll be after a healthier plan - less starch, fewer calories, less fat, less sodium, ingredients with more nutrient density.

I can have pizza on Weight Watchers, but I just have to count the {points} value. How is your diet program going blunthead? and sorry to hijack the thread!

When you feel up to it, a homemade whole wheat crust, thin, is a great alternative to that doughy stuff :) Add lots of veggies & a little good cheese you're in business--healthy and tasty. I eat very little bready stuff, but I don't even feel guilty about a slice or two of this every couple of weeks--good fiber & nutrients :)

My program's going ok. I must be patient because at night I'm substituting one of my meal replacements with other things the doc has okay'd, but which makes the weight loss take a little longer. Still, doc is very happy with my weight graph which shows on my account on his computer, and shows a steady decline. I'm feeling good, not hungry usually, and generally am happy with the program. Thanx for asking.:smile2:

It's quite easy to make your own crust with whole wheat flour - beats the mixes or the take out stuff, that's for sure!
(Reading this makes me feel like having home made pizza for supper tonight) :m_applause: :m_pan:
