Bought corn, not yet in season, but wanted. Saw internet praises of the wet towel around and microwave it. Just as fine, they said.

Nopes. Don't do it. ever. This was just a test. Unusual mushy puffy kernels. Guess it's ok if you are used to KFC corn on cob.

Stick with the three minute boil for fresh corn, lotsa butter and salt.

Yep, going to see if I can find some at Publix. After seeing your earlier post I want corn on the cob, bbq ribs and potato salad. Maybe fried okra...because I'm in the south and it's the law.

Never had it, but love fried pickles and also pickled okra. Think I would be a fan!

Has to have a good coating, fried crispy. Some people make it mushy, and I just can't I use the same coating as for fried green tomatoes, and that works well.
