I have to laugh,I watched the episode "The Arena" with the Gorn today,and it was great..it was pretty clear that the Gorn had on baseball catcher shin guards,covered with stuff and green paint..and also,the closeups of Spock and and McCoy,it appears they are wearing pink lipstick..high definition really brings some things into focus.The shin guards are cool,the lipstick,umm..not so much.. 
BBC America has been running a Star Trek marathon. All the originals. Great memories.

I'm not getting all my chores done 'cause I see an episode I really like and there goes another hour. Keep enjoying them.
Ha! Just watched the Harlen Ellison City on the Edge of Joan Collins (hubba hubba) episode on BBC America this morning. Fun memories, sure.
But my sister has every episode and movie in awesome box sets at her place, along with her husband's massive tv, so every coupla months we get together for a little Romulan Ale and giant-sized Trek. Just carrying on an old...family tradition.
Where do I stand for the firing squad...I've never seen a single episode of Star Trek. In fact, as kids, we used to call it Star Track.

No idea why, but my 18 year old decided to start watching the original Star Trek.
I started singing "Nobody knows the Tribbles I've seen". And got stink eye. He didn't get either meaning in that.

I wasn't a fan originally, and in fact not really one now. But my mother was the original Star Trek nerd. When I was nine (1967) I had been doing very badly in school until someone figured out I needed glasses. My grades improved so dramatically I was allowed to stay up to watch an episode. With the proviso that if I uttered one word I would be sent to bed in disgrace. No, I don't remember which episode it was. I just liked being allowed to stay up late.

That's not blue eye shadow. That's a bruise from where Bones punched him in the face for being a green blooded hobglobin. Spock had lost his vulcan mind!or blue eyeshadow?
