As they left he told me to have a happy valentine's day young lady. I told him, You too! and I told his woman, you two have a good day! tHen the Waitress came and told me he paid for my meal.

Seriously. I was just speechless. They sat close to me during their meal and my meal, so clearly he saw I had steak and lobster. THis person worked hard for his money, and he spent that on a total stranger to have a nice meal. I'm just verklempt.

A few years ago, I had to go out of town (by myself) for a few days that happened to include Valentines Day. I went out to dinner by myself on Valentines Day and have never felt so out of place in a restaurant before. At least I was out of town and no one knew me.
