Do they drink this?

Maybe...? (but it's also possible that this is bottled Olympian sweat)
That's good water but I prefer mine in a can

I was so pleased for Fiji... they really do work so hard in their rugby and have some very class players.

Well they took us to the cleaners in the final. Makes me glad I was already asleep - or at least in bed. (Started at 11.30pm our time.)
Then again I didn't see us beating South Africa in the semi, so SILVER linings and all that. ;)

Gold in the velodrome too, and a world record for the women's team pursuit...team...over 4 km. They looked much more composed and matched for pace than the current world champs, too (though the real icing on the cake was slaughtering the Aussie time by 5.7 secs, crash or no crash :biggrin2:). Lovely, lovely, let's hope for more to come.

Wasn't the men's team sprint a close thing?! Congratulations on the gold! :)
I didn't see/hear any news about the women's team pursuit, 5.7 sec? I bet Aussie were gutted...

That's why a lot of athletes train in a different country. You need to be training with and regularly competing against the best to be the best.
Thats whats so amazing about sjostrom. She is one of the best anyway. Talent in droves. She won her first big international seniortitle at the age of 14, her first worldchampionship at 15. Since then she has lots of titles. She is 22 now. She, according to her, failed at the 2012 olympics (she came in fourth). But to make it in the relays you need 4 topswimmers, not one.

Did she tie for the record? I knew she tied for the gold...

Yup, they now share the Olympic Record.

It was a bit confusing because Simone was marked OR and Penny was marked 1. In Canada everything is bilingual, so to me OR meant gold. But then, why would it say Penny was first. I'm not sure why the board was a bit confused, but it was clarified quickly.
