It is so odd to think of aa hog eating meat, but I guess they do,as an omnivore..one other that I read once,is that hippos in Africa may actually eat meat too,you tend to think of them as purely veggie eaters, but I guess there have been documented cases of them eating meat..I also know of at least one case, where an elephant ate it's handler..she came up missing, and they found pieces of her clothing and jewelry later in the elephant's dung..
I heard it in my head all night last night, lol. That song that they were playing for torture has been a huge ear worm.

It's kind of funny but after you're singing it in your head all night you want to scream, lol.I have driven my son crazy. I played it over and over and over. Found a longer version too.
I watched that show too. Hello, here I am in the thread about I show I stopped watching two seasons ago. Now I'm reading the spoilers. Daryl and Carl were my favorites. Daryl for obvious reasons and Carl. . .I know I used to watch the show Deadwood on HBO. They showed a scene where they fed someone that they wanted to come up missing to the pigs.
I keep reading online that this was a crap episode, but I liked it. Norman Reedus is a good actor, even if I am tired of this character, and it was good to see how much he can do withalmost no dialogue (I think I counted 21 words total). No one on this show except Lennie James can say so much just with their face/eyes.
One thing that made me laugh: that Negan thought he could take Daryl down with hunger, loneliness, or that tempting look at 'normal' life. Not likely to have the desired effect on a person with Daryl's past--lol.
Great practical effects in this episode, too! I do think they need to be a little less worried about making Reedus look good (not really possible), though: with the beating he took he should have looked MUCH worse.
I've liked the hints toward future episodes/seasons in the opening credits, too. And the nod to Glenn made me smile ("You don't scare easy, do you?"--Merle said the same in the same tone to Glenn in a similar situation in the Woodbury season).
This isn't a perfect show, but it still intrigues me more often than it doesn't. I like the way it weaves around the comics, sometimes aligning and sometimes shooting off tangentially -- keeps it interesting for those who enjoy the story in both mediums. I do wonder if they'll keep to the comic in terms of a time jump: Chandler Riggs is too adult for the current story timeline to align (it can only be about 2-3 years after ZA on the show, but 7 years in RT), but the jump in the comic takes place a bit down the road--probably at least this season and the next. By then he'll be 19/20 playing 13--lol.
I think this one, more than ever, goes back to what's been said before re: viewer expectations. I know my nephew will have hated that ep, while I found it engaging.
I'm not sure I'll ever start seeing Dwight as anything other than a bad guy, though. They seem to have gone too far down the road with him to make me care. Tbh I just wanted him to die - and did I think he'd been bitten when he was doing the whole Napoleon thing with his hand tucked inside his jacket? Yes I did!
It's also been too long since you saw his (ex-)wife. Until it was mentioned, I was sitting there thinking 'Who TF is that and why would she know Daryl?' - and I usually don't forget a pretty face. Speaking of which, I don't believe for one second that Dwight could get someone like that. And another thing I noticed with her was that Negan's group has clearly got someone who knows their hairdressing - the cut at the back was salon straight, not 'I've been running from zombies for at least two years and I have to cut my own hair'.
Re: Norman Reedus, he should have been made up better after being taken down, but for me the highlight of his performance came in his confrontations with Negan. In the first, he doesn't flinch. In the second, when Negan swings Lucille around, he's shying away. Just a little, but it was there.
As for that damn tune, I was lucky in that it didn't get stuck in my head. But if I'd been locked in with only that to listen to, I'd have been up and at the first person through the door, after killing them to make them kill me.
I don't get why he broke down at 'Crying', though. Personally I could have taken that, even if it was constant or day-after-day.
But did anyone notice how, while they were feeding Daryl, they weren't giving him any water? There's only so much pee you can drink before it screws your kidneys, you know!
Anyhow, two possibilities now exist for when Rick arrives: either Daryl gives it the 'I'm Negan' bit and really means it, or Rick finds him on the fence. Flip a coin.

I do get that one. Coming from a family littered with outlaws (cowboys, bikers, etc.), I can tell you that Roy Orbison is almost Johnny Cash level revered. Even those that HATE country music love Cash; Orbison is much the same, and that's a drink-til-you-cry song. Don't know why, but there you have it.
