1. What is a good reason to break a promise (or a trust)?
There is no good reason... if you feel someone's LIFE is in jeopardy , you find a way to help them without breaking a promise or trust.

2.
In The Good, The Bad And The Ugly, Blondie tells Tuco, "There are two kinds of people in the world . . . those with loaded guns, and those who dig." What do you say? What two kinds of people are there in your world?
People who care about people and people who PRETEND to

3. What do you feel is the most precious gift you can give . . . or if you don't like that, what is the most precious gift you would like to receive?

(Hint: If you say "love," we'll all know you're not really trying)
forgiveness

4. Annie Wilkes is mad at you. Your Number-One Fan is very disappointed, she's going to cut off your dominant hand, or both of your feet . . . but it's up to you. Which and why?
hand..

5. Very similar to #4: I've killed someone very dear to you -- brutally -- and you know it for a fact. My punishment is up to you, and further, you may inflict it, if you choose: Do you want that responsibility, and if so, how would you wield it?
If it just happened, I don't think there is anyone alive who wouldn't want to if given the opportunity immediately following such a horrid event. I would just hope I wouldn't be given the opportunity.

6. You have a magic wand that will work once. Don't play games with more "wishes." How do you wield that wand?
no clue

7. How do you pamper yourself when you believe you deserve it?
peaceful tranquility

8. Tell us a travel story. It can be funny, wishful, horrific . . . whatever. Where did you go and what happened that makes it a story?
I drove several hours (like 4) into another state before I realized I shouldn't be in it.

9. You can be reincarnated as anything but what you are now: How would you come back and why?
I wouldn't

10. What do you like best and least about your experience here on the forum? You may answer either or both.
would rather not say what I like least.. but best, there are a few genially nice people here and I love Stephen King.

This right here^ is an excellent answer. Especially if it really was me. Lucy is the absolute worst.

"Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"

Yeah . . . that's hilarious, Lucy. You go, girl!

I think 'I love lucy' was the most watched re-runned show before MASH replaced it. I don't think she or the show are particularly funny. The only one maybe on the show that was maybe slightly funny was 'Howard'? The bubbling guy with the goatee. Lucille Ball looks like she would mash you out bad if she didn't like you. I think she said on one talk-show that she picked up a radio station because of her gold tooth in her mouth.

This is interesting to me, because I remember liking M*A*S*H when it was first run, but when I catch it in syndication now (on rare occasions), I can't for the life of me figure out why I liked it.
It was a good show, in my opinion, when it first started as a series when Frank Burns was one of the characters but it's basically the same thing repeated most of the time but I like the episode with Leslie Nielsen where he's the gun-ho colonel and they turn him into a worry man. It has been on TV here in Australia non-stop on some channel since I've been 15. Alan Alda is likable and most of the characters are good. I've got the first two series on DVD.

I like the episode with Leslie Nielsen where he's the gun-ho colonel and they turn him into a worry man.

The funniest one I remember was this CID guy (undercover) who visited the 4077th for some reason and Hawkeye is asking him how he plans to keep his identity a secret. The guy says something like, "Don't worry about me, I'm the wind." Then he jumps out the window and you hear this loud crash.

Hawkey does that smirk he was always doing and he calls out, "Hey Frank, can you give us a hand. I think "the wind" just broke his leg.

More of that and less of Alda's moralizing might have been better.

1) If we brought back the US military draft, should we include women?

Setting aside my feelings on the draft......It seems only fair to include woman ( with some exclusions-single mothers for example.Same for single dads)

2) What’s your favorite Simon & Garfunkel song?

I don't have one.

3) What things would you save, in one trip, if your house/apartment were on fire (besides people or pets)?

My copy of IT.I have actually run through the fire scenario in my head and after people and pets I would chuck as many of my SK books out the window as I could. Pictures are saved online.

4) What’s your favorite Disney movie?

Probably Alice in Wonderland.

5) What was the cheesiest pick-up line you’ve used or heard used on you?

I have never had a pick up line used on me and the closest I have come to using one is asking David if he is tired because he has been running through my mind all day.

6) Describe the color yellow to somebody who's blind.

This one is a thinker for me.....
.Yellow is like a knife(sharp),a cozy blanket (warm),and I want to add a food that tastes " bright" but I am drawing a blank.

7) What's your favorite midnight snack?
I go to bed at 9:30 but my favorite prebedtime snack is microwave popcorn.

8) Have you ever thrown up in a car... details :)?

No.But I have thrown up on a car.I was always able to get it out the window.Details? I was newly 21-nuff said.

9) Where did you go on your first airplane ride?

Guantanamo Bay,Cuba

10) What would you want to be written on your tombstone if you had to put an epitaph on it?

I haven't yet settled on one but I have extracted a promise from David to put on it what I ask for because I want something funny on the gravestone.- or maybe just a big ole hazardous waste symbol.

1) If we brought back the US military draft, should we include women? Hmm...seems like it would be fair, but I agree with stacy, there would need to be some restrictions regarding children. I don't mean to be wishy washy, many women could handle it, but I'd be more like Private Benjamin. I would not be an asset in any way to any military engagement. I'd be the reason we lost.

2) What’s your favorite Simon & Garfunkel song? Cecilia!

3) What things would you save, in one trip, if your house/apartment were on fire (besides people or pets)? My laptop - it's got all the photos on it!

4) What’s your favorite Disney movie? Pete's Dragon, seriously.

5) What was the cheesiest pick-up line you’ve used or heard used on you? Oh, it's a bad one. I'll have to spoiler it: "hey baby, I snatch kisses"
"and visa versa"
. Bad, bad boy, that one was.

6) Describe the color yellow to somebody who's blind. Hot, vibrant, brilliant, too much

7) What's your favorite midnight snack? Vodka

8) Have you ever thrown up in a car... details :)? I am famous for my inappropriate pukes. One time in Jimmy Greg's car, while Billy Squire was too loud and JG was driving too fast to stop...1984. Take a bow, Holly.

9) Where did you go on your first airplane ride? Miami

10) What would you want to be written on your tombstone if you had to put an epitaph on it? Thank God it's over

1) If we brought back the US military draft, should we include women? No

2) What’s your favorite Simon & Garfunkel song? Homeward Bound I also love The Boxer and Scarborough Fair. All their songs are so poetic.

3) What things would you save, in one trip, if your house/apartment were on fire (besides people or pets)? I'd die in the fire. I just have too many things I would want to save. Besides the tools of the house, everything in my house has a story. You can point to probably 95% of the things I have in my house as decoration, and it has a story. I didn't just go to Target or Fred Meyers and purchase things for home decor. (although I do have some of that too) but again, 95% is a story, not a thing. I would want to save all those stories.

4) What’s your favorite Disney movie? Well, I'm only going to think about childhood disney movies. Not the ones they put out now. I would say Mary Poppins.

5) What was the cheesiest pick-up line you’ve used or heard used on you? No one has ever tried to pick me up. And I have never tried to pick anyone up.

6) Describe the color yellow to somebody who's blind. Yellow feels warm. Yellow tastes like lemonade. Yellow smells like a field of flowers. Yellow sounds like children playing, bees buzzing, activity.

7) What's your favorite midnight snack?donuts or gummy bears

8) Have you ever thrown up in a car... details :)?Yes. I was a teenager, my husband was the focus of my lust. Could've been one of the first times we kissed. He was making his moves on me and I was drunk and told him I was going to be sick. He said I wasn't. I said I was. He said I wasn't. I told him he better open the door. He reached over me and opened the door of his BRAND NEW CAMARO, and I threw up down the side of the door. Boy, that really f's with the new car smell.

9) Where did you go on your first airplane ride? Back to Maryland where we had just moved from to go to my sister's college graduation.

10) What would you want to be written on your tombstone if you had to put an epitaph on it? I won't have a tombstone because I will be cremated. But if I had a tombstone? hmmmm....

Here lies Dana Jean. She should've been a contender.

1) If we brought back the US military draft, should we include women? I've worked with some ladies I'd go thru a door with in a second and not think twice about it. Include the ladies, the military makes everyone stronger, regardless of gender.

2) What’s your favorite Simon & Garfunkel song? Not exactly my style of music.

3) What things would you save, in one trip, if your house/apartment were on fire (besides people or pets)? My computer and my firearms...that's two things I guess. The firearms would take a while to haul out, but they have a lot of sentimental value.

4) What’s your favorite Disney movie? Pete's Dragon. Most people probably too young to remember this one, it was the second or third movie I ever saw in an indoor theater. 1977-ish?

5) What was the cheesiest pick-up line you’ve used or heard used on you? I was never confident enough to try and "pick up" a girl. I had two relationships back in my dating days where the woman and I were "friends" before we became involved. Both of these relationships ended up as total and complete heart breaking train wrecks. If my wife hadn't been the type who was very good at picking up on the fact I was interested in her, I most likely would not have been married for twenty years now.

6) Describe the color yellow to somebody who's blind. The color of the mustard you put on your french fried potaters.....

7) What's your favorite midnight snack? Ritz Crackers.

8) Have you ever thrown up in a car... details :)? No, I've always managed to make it outside or roll the window down. Now I have had people throw up in MY car several times.

9) Where did you go on your first airplane ride? Houston, TX.

10) What would you want to be written on your tombstone if you had to put an epitaph on it? "There are other worlds than these."

1) If we brought back the US military draft, should we include women?

I can't say I know very much from fair. That word has come to have flexible, convenient meaning in this fine political age, and this is no political issue for me. If it's so bad that we're bringing the draft back, that speaks to cannon fodder. I am not getting down with women as cannon fodder. I have no problem with sisters in arms. Anyone who stands up with me gets whatever respect I have to give, but she must choose it. I will not choose it for her.

2) What’s your favorite Simon & Garfunkel song?

Me and Julio Down By the Schoolyard.

3) What things would you save, in one trip, if your house/apartment were on fire (besides people or pets)?

I have no material possessions that are worth my life. None.

4) What’s your favorite Disney movie?

Swiss Family Robinson. Not because it was particularly good, but because I have such fond memories of being a little kid up way past his bedtime at the drive-in.

5) What was the cheesiest pick-up line you’ve used or heard used on you?

The most ridiculous thing I ever said to a woman in a bar was, "So, you wanna come and play house with me or what?" Even stupider than that was that it worked. She couldn't believe anyone would say such a silly thing . . . but once you get 'em laughing, the rest is gravy.

6) Describe the color yellow to somebody who's blind.

Yellow is outside in the summertime right when the breeze dies down.

7) What's your favorite midnight snack?

Chocolate chip cookies (and ice-cold milk, of course). But not just any chocolate chip cookies.

8) Have you ever thrown up in a car... details :)?

It's entirely possible, but if I did, nobody ever told me about it afterward . . . and you'd think somebody would have. If that had happened.

9) Where did you go on your first airplane ride?

From Boston to Los Angeles. I've told this story before, but the flight out (on Northwest) was a smoking flight. In the two weeks I was out there, that policy changed and I was not allowed to smoke on the flight back. This led to a fellow passenger making what was then a reasonable point, but isn't now. "What are they gonna do, kick you off the plane?"

10) What would you want to be written on your tombstone if you had to put an epitaph on it?

What now, smart@ss?
