Went outside early, quarter after six or so, used the Husqvarna to clear the driveway, ours and the neighbors. Went back in for a cup, went back out and cleared two other neighbors who asked me to keep them open this winter, $175 a month. Finished up around a quarter after eight, made a call to a customer where we replaced eight windows yesterday--customer was wanting an invoice so they could apply for this $70 per window rebate from EfficiencyUnited, limit of five windows this year, told them I'd be at the house by nine and I was. Eight degrees on the f-scale and we're getting hammered, wife said 30" by whenever. Yeah, 30. Why can't we get a nice little dusting and be done with it? Anyway, I went to Houghton, figured out the square footage of the glass on the windows installed yesterday, started to measure the exterior woodwork for aluminum wrap, got the first seven measured and said enough, hands cold, ran up to the truck to crank it over, start the heater. House is empty, will be rental when complete, customer was pulling in and we went in, showed them this that the other thing, they handed me a check. Finished measuring for aluminum wrap, cut and bent the aluminum for six windows...two that face a wrap-around porch will not be wrapped. Blowing snow, cold, said that's it for the day, headed home.
There's four inches at least in the driveway and no end in sight. Have some coffee brewing. I'm glad the furnace is working. Good day to kick back for a time and get some reading done. I'm up past a hundred for the year. Last six years I've averaged 125 read. Below that number but this weather keeps on no problem.
