What's In Your Crock-pot?

Pot roast is good when you have the right veggies and spices. Onion soup mix does real well, with other things.

Pork or beef simmered all day in my special barbecue sauce, cooking in with onion and chili peppers is a real crowd-pleaser too.

Being a fairly literal guy, I must note that this is technically "slow cooker" stuff because our actual Crock-Pot® went to the big recycle center in the sky many years ago.

I blow my nose in Kleenex, all soft drinks are Coke, all cereal are Cheerios, even the generics are Q-Tips and I love my Frigidaire.

I make a weird cornbread. I add some sugar, salt, diced pickled jalapeno and drained corn to the cornbread mix. It's weird until you taste it, then it's weirdly delicious.

All we added was chopped onions, yellow bell pepper, red bell pepper, and kidney beans. We had to have it mild for the kids, and then neither one of them liked it, so next time we are going to spice it up a bit.

I've had 2 cut up chickens in the crock pot since about 8 last night. Gonna make chicken tacos today. Come on over Siggy! Karen made up the sauces last night, one mild for her, and I , and the kids, and one smoking hot for my S-I-L.
