There ya go! Keep writing to people you admired, or who have made a difference or brought enjoyment in your life. Who doesn't want to hear something nice? Stephen King was my very first fan letter. I did not hear back.
....from him.

no, that's right. Not from him. But from someone very lovely.....from him.
Okay, did you really have someone as Santa write you back? If you really did get a letter from "santa," I love that.I've got a signed return letter from Santa.

That is adorable. Your dad or mom sat down and made sure you got a santa letter. Love.Always found it suspicious that the stationary was the same as on my Father's desk.

If you could write and hear an answer from anyone living, who would you want that correspondence to be from?
that is the coolest!I have only ever sent one letter of that kind. And it was to Monty Python. I never expected a response at all and some time later a large envelope arrived in the mail from England, and inside was a very provocative pic of Carol Cleveland and a black and white photo with the male members of the cast with the words PISS OFF! written in fountain pen across the bottom. It was so cool!

Do it. Write her. Find her address and write her. Try to write her through a cause or charity she works for. Has she ever written anything, go through the publisher. If you write her as an actress, it will get lost in a pile. Try to find the road less travelled to write her so your letter stands out.Kate Upton
Everyone, ixnay on the onay antasay.okay....I'm getting a bad vibe here....are you guys saying Santa is not a real person....
Oh man! I love love love Dave Matthews! That is just really awesome. Now, you should write Boyd and remind him of your lovely conversation at the cafe'!My brush with the awesome: I used to work downtown in the Cotton Exchange Bldg and once a month we'd have happy hour and a nice big cake from the Peabody - so I was in the café picking up the cake on the day of the Dave Matthews concert (this was Aug 1999), and low and behold, right in front of me, purchasing a bazillion muffins was Boyd Tinsley. We had conversation - I floated back to the office in a state of euphoria - I am a huge fan and had tickets to the concert that night. If you don't know: he's the violist for DMB. His arms are gigantic and he's so freaking cool.
