I have written to SK but never sent. However,not sure if emails count. But have written a few To Reverend Naomi and she has responded.

Yep, I've had return tweets from several authors, and a few really nice extended exchanges with Joanne Harris (nice lady). Reverend Naomi is a kind, generous person, and I've enjoyed chatting with her a bit, too.

I have only ever sent one letter of that kind. And it was to Monty Python. I never expected a response at all and some time later a large envelope arrived in the mail from England, and inside was a very provocative pic of Carol Cleveland and a black and white photo with the male members of the cast with the words PISS OFF! written in fountain pen across the bottom. It was so cool!
that is the coolest!

Kate Upton :rolleyes::semi-twins::rolleyes:
Do it. Write her. Find her address and write her. Try to write her through a cause or charity she works for. Has she ever written anything, go through the publisher. If you write her as an actress, it will get lost in a pile. Try to find the road less travelled to write her so your letter stands out.

My brush with the awesome: I used to work downtown in the Cotton Exchange Bldg and once a month we'd have happy hour and a nice big cake from the Peabody - so I was in the café picking up the cake on the day of the Dave Matthews concert (this was Aug 1999), and low and behold, right in front of me, purchasing a bazillion muffins was Boyd Tinsley. We had conversation - I floated back to the office in a state of euphoria - I am a huge fan and had tickets to the concert that night. If you don't know: he's the violist for DMB. His arms are gigantic and he's so freaking cool.

Oh man! I love love love Dave Matthews! That is just really awesome. Now, you should write Boyd and remind him of your lovely conversation at the cafe'!
