Just came home with some thrift store finds:
Brand new DVD of the 1st season of Tales From The Darkside, which has the teleplay of The Word Processor Of The Gods (and tons of other great episodes!), The Plume Collector's Edition of The Shining and a 2nd Viking hardback printing of The Gunslinger (Revised and Expanded)!

Well, it was my lucky day yesterday. Several new boxes of books appeared in the overstock area of one of my favorite used book stores (Second Story Books). Crichton, Patterson, Cussler, Ludlum, Francis, Cornwell, all the usual suspects were there. King, of course, was present too -- Cell, Needful Things, Duma Key, etc (all the ones I have). Then... suddenly... I see them. Night Shift... The Dead Zone... 'Salem's Lot! All in Fine condition with Brodart covers! Book club editions, of course, but all the larger size BCE's (not the cheaper small size BCE's). The Night Shift one is neat because it actually has a gutter code with it (MP1Z). $4 a piece. I couldn't be happier. I'll probably never have 1st/1st editions of those early books, so these were a great find for me. Plus, you can't tell the difference when they are sitting on the shelf. ;)
