I remember those -didn't you post a picture? Turned out gorgeous!Do you have high ceilings? Or perhaps cathedral ones? If so, you can use the space up above a doorway or close to the ceilings to place a bookshelf or two. It's wasted space up there as far as I'm concerned. I have four shelves I have placed up above (I have cathedral ceilings) and it has given me lots more room for my beloved books. But, I, too, am running out of space for those books.....
I am thinking I like you mailman.Today the mailman delivered a nice copy of Blackwater: IV The War by Michael McDowell that I bought off of thriftbooks.com.
Yes, I posted pics- I think they're in 'My Book Collection' thread somewhere around here.....I remember those -didn't you post a picture? Turned out gorgeous!
It's probably a remainder mark from the publisher. I wish 'they' would stop doing this- it's defacing the books!Bought a hardcover first edition of Tabitha King's One On One (very good condition except for a black mark along the outer text block - this must be a common practice in used book stores ).

Good!Louie the Lout got a nickel in Sing Sing for 'defacing the books'.
I liked that one - and I loved Pearl and The Book of Rueben - she's got some great reads!Bought a hardcover first edition of Tabitha King's One On One (very good condition except for a black mark along the outer text block - this must be a common practice in used book stores ).
Great find!Bought first edition hardcovers of Song of Susannah and The Dark Tower (both in very good condition).
Do you think it's necessary to read Tabby's books in chronological order?I liked that one - and I loved Pearl and The Book of Rueben - she's got some great reads!
Great find!
Not at all - I read them as I stumbled across them. You'll enjoy her.Do you think it's necessary to read Tabby's books in chronological order?
Yay! Then I can start One on One (hopefully soon!) and not worry about screwing up the order. Not at all - I read them as I stumbled across them. You'll enjoy her.
While her last few books had some of the same characters in them, it's not really a continuing storyline- each book has a different theme and tone.Do you think it's necessary to read Tabby's books in chronological order?
Just make sure you get to Pearl soon. It's her best, IMO.Yay! Then I can start One on One (hopefully soon!) and not worry about screwing up the order.
