I agree - it's an amazing idea! If only I knew how to use a sewing machine. :down:
You could possibly try it with heat bond tape or stitch witchery. There is also a simple trick --- two pieces material, tee back and front, place pillow in between an simply tie the material at the corners, or use a yarn or ribbon.

Do you have a link for those or was it a print pattern? I like using the embroidery hoops so it's all ready to display when you're done. Or, at least it looks like they're crocheted right onto the hoop on the last row.
Yes, the ones I made are simply sc onto the inner part of an embroidery hoop, then the top places over it and tightened. *** you can vary the rows if you have hoops larger than in the pattern.

Super nice work Spidey! How you decipher that rosetta stone of instructions I will never know. You are a scholar speaking another language!
In the beginning-- my mom would translate the patterns to understandable language. Over time, I learned to read a real pattern, however, I will admit, many times I still find the need to watch a video when learning a new stitch.
