Anyone been up to any crafting lately? I have a new miniature kit that I'm using as motivation to finish some fellowship applications/dissertation revisions. Ahhh, I want to start working on it so badly, but the revisions/fellowship write-up phase are both taking forever. king family fan how is the Dollhouse coming along?

My son is getting married this weekend. After racking my brain, I finally came up with an idea. Take one of their engagement pictures and help their daughter make a puzzle out of it.

Michael's has blank puzzle canvases, precut. One year for father's day, the two little boys I babysit colored a blank puzzle canvas and I wrote a special father's day message from them on it. It was adorable!
All Michael’s had was wooden puzzle pieces that do not fit well together.
I was looking for that, but apparently they no longer sell them. I’m not sure if I could have glued a picture on it anyway though.
If you can scan the picture into your computer, and then copy it out on inkjet transfer paper.
Put image on puzzle, use iron to transfer, let cool and snap apart carefully. Have a sharp X-ACTO close for any snags.
I just looked at my local Michael's and they still had them. Maybe you were looking in the wrong aisle?
Not all stores carry the same products. Big difference with stock in my area between stores.

Have wanted a quilt ladder for a long time but didn't have the wall space to put one until now. I've been cleaning out, organizing and decorating the loft area above my craft studio the past couple of weekends and one of this weekend's projects was to make a quilt ladder which turned out to be a relatively easy project. Here it is with spare quilts displayed. My great-grandmother made the crazy quilt on the top rung but the others and the one on the chair in the foreground are ones I've made. Next weekend I might actually get some artwork on the walls and books back in the bookcases.
